2 KartSport New Zealand Permit No. 1854B SUPPLEMENTARY RULES Event Status - This is a single event run over a period of 3 days to the Regulations, Codes, Rules, Procedures and Specifications of KartSport New Zealand, these Supplementary Rules and any additional Supplementary Rules issued prior to or during the event. ELIGIBIITY: This event is restricted to T1 drivers. As per KartSport New Zealand Rule P EVENT FORMAT: As per rule P6.16 Option 1 Race Distance Time Trials 8 minutes, Heats 8 Laps, Pre Final 12 Laps, Final 21 Laps (Cadet/Vortex Mini Rok Final 18 Laps) 4. NOISE CONTROL: Non-metallic inserts must be fitted between or through barrel & head fins of all air cooled engines except Cadet ROK and Vortex Mini ROK. A noise meter may be used. 5 DAILY FORMAT : Day 1: Vortex Mini ROK, Vortex ROK DVS Junior, Junior 100cc Yamaha,125cc Rotax Max Light, 125cc Rotax Max Heavy, KZ2. Day 2: Cadet ROK, Rotax Max Junior, DD2, Vortex ROK DVS, 100cc Yamaha, Open Note: The event will be run to a published Timetable, established following close off of initial entries after 5 th October SCRUTINEERING: Random selected Scrutineering refer timetable. When requested, competitors are to present their kart to the Tech Officials. Page 2 of 7

3 7. DOCUMENTATION and GEAR CHECK: Will take place on Friday 19 th Oct between 4.00pm and 5.30pm. If you are unable to attend at this time you will need to contact the Convenor ( ) no later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 17 th October. 8 SIGNAGE: Competitors may be required to display sponsors stickers in the designated area on the kart as per Rule G4.7. Sponsors stickers must be in place during official practice, tuning runs and all competition plus at any Scrutineering. 9 TRANSPONDERS: Competitors must provide their own transponder & number. Transponders must be fitted& functioning for all tuning runs & competition. 10. DRIVERS BRIEFING: Will be conducted on the Saturday and Sunday, on the grid, or other such place as may be notified. All drivers and the parents/legal guardians of drivers under 18 years old must attend the briefings. 11. TIMETABLE: The event will be run to a published Timetable, established following close of late entries after 5 th October DRY TYRE DISTRIBUTION: For restricted tyre classes only marked DRY tyres supplied at the event can be used during competition. All competitors in tyre restricted classes are required to purchase a voucher (either a Full set or a Cadet set voucher) from their usual outlet. DRY tyres will be distributed between 1.00pm and 4.30pm on Friday by Technical Officers. A class by class timetable will be published once Late Entries close. Each competitor is entitled to one set of DRY tyres per class. DRY tyres must be used for the class they are issued for. You must present your voucher to receive your tyres. No voucher = no tyres. NOTE: Competitors are to supply their own WET tyres, which will be scanned/marked when they are first used in competition at this event. 13. ENGINE SEALING: All competitors & crew are to note that the Bar-Coded Engine Sealing method will be used at this event. Competitors will be issued with one engine seal at Dry Tyre Distribution on Friday. It is the competitors responsibility to correctly fit this seal and to have the respective sealing nuts. REFER KSNZ RULE L TIME TRIALS: Dry Tyre Qualifying: Karts must present to their respective qualifying out-grids with their allocated unused (GREEN) dry tyres. Wet Tyre Qualifying: Karts must present to their respective first dry race out-grids with their allocated unused (GREEN) dry tyres. 15. ENTRY FORM This is to certify that I, the undersigned, submit this entry to compete in the 2018 KartSport New Zealand North Island Championships to be conducted by Kartsport Manawatu at Shirriffs Road, Palmerston North on. I understand and accept that submission of this entry form constitutes an agreement with the organisers to take part in the above event. I certify that the particulars supplied on this registration form are true and correct in every particular. INDEMNIFICATION I acknowledge and agree to accept as a condition of entry that the FIA-CIK; MotorSport New Zealand; KartSport New Zealand; KartSport Manawatu, Palmerston North City Council; all sponsors and all or any members, officials or assistants of any of the above named and or known organisations, nor their respective servants, officials, representatives, or agents shall not be under any liability whatsoever for any death or bodily injury, loss or damage which may be sustained or incurred as a result of my participation in the race meeting or event, howsoever such death or bodily injury, loss or damage is caused not withstanding that such death, injury, loss or damage may have been contributed to or caused by the negligence of the Inviting Club or Kartsport New Zealand or any of their respective officials, servants, representatives or agents or by any other person. DECLARATION I declare I have a current KartSport New Zealand Competition licence with a rating applicable to the class entered. (Ratings will not be valid unless they have been dated 10 days prior to the start of the event.) I declare I am conversant with and will abide by all current KartSport New Zealand rules, regulations, codes and specifications governing kart racing, and that I will abide by any supplementary rules which apply and the directions and rulings of the Chief Steward of the day without losing my right to protest or appeal. I declare that I have no medical condition that may impede my ability to drive a kart in competition or practice. I declare that my kart and driving apparel will comply with all current KartSport New Zealand Rules and Specifications throughout this event. I declare that should I at the time of this event to be suffering from any disability of any kind whether permanent or temporary which is likely to detrimentally affect my control of my kart or my fitness to drive, I will not participate. I declare that I will not make use of drugs or of prohibited methods such as are defined by the Intoxicating Liquor and Drug regulations of KartSport New Zealand. I declare that I give consent to the details contained on this entry form being held by KartSport New Zealand and/or the Organising Club for the purpose of the promotion and benefit of the event concerned, and KartSport in general. 6 INFORMATION UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR: A high standard of behaviour is expected by both competitors and crew at all times. The Convenor and/or KartSport New Zealand Officials have the right to remove any person from the complex deemed to have behaviour that could bring this event into disrepute. TESTING: The Track will be CLOSED from Monday Sept 10 th to Wednesday Oct 17 th for testing for North Islands. Any competitor found testing at the track during this period will have their entry to the competition forfeited. The track is available Friday 5 th & Sunday 7 th October with Saturday 6 th being a Kartsport Manawatu club day. Final available test day is Thursday October 18 th. Gates open 8.00am Track Available pm No engines are to be run before 8.00am or after 5.00pm RACING NUMBERS: 1 or 2 digit numbers preferred please. TRAILER SITES: Trailer Sites are available at a charge of $46 for the weekend. Approx 6m x 6m. Requests for variation with the entry to the Race Secretary. KART PORTS: Are available at a charge of $30 for the weekend. Approx 3m x 3m. First in first served basis. MARQUEES: Please contact Chris Rooney Ph: PARKING: Parking within the grounds is under the strict control of the Convenor. Trailers and tents are not permitted inside the sealed pit area. NO Private vehicles are to be parked in the trailer site kart trailers and service vehicles only. All private vehicles are to be parked in the top car park if full, parking is available in our neighbouring car park. Motor homes are by arrangement with the Convenor. SECURITY: Security will be available Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights for trailers, karts etc. KartSport Manawatu, KartSport New Zealand or anyone acting on their behalf, takes no responsibility and are not to be held liable if any equipment is lost, stolen or in any way interfered or tampered with. FOOD: Breakfast is available from 7.30am -9am Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Lunches and light refreshments are available for purchase Friday, Saturday & Sunday from the shop in the club rooms. Please Note: As a condition of our bar licence, the only alcohol to be consumed within the KartSport Manawatu Raceway is that which is purchased from our Clubrooms. Thank you for your co-operation with this. ACCOMMODATION: For options check I-Site Manawatu. PRIZEGIVING: Will be held at the Awapuni Function Centre, Awapuni Racecourse, 67 Racecourse Road, Awapuni, Palmerston North on 21 st October after technical inspections are complete. Admission to the venue is free of charge. The cost will be $40 per head for Adults and Children 15yrs and younger $20 per head for the dinner meal. Dinner will be served from 6.30pm. A fully licenced Bar is available opening at 6pm. The Prize giving will start at approximately 8pm. PLEASE NOTE: The Dinner will only be available to those purchasing tickets with their entry.
