4 with the support of the AUTOMOBILE CLUB di MODENA and of the FIVEA Federazione Italiana Veicoli ad Energie Alternative organises the:, 3 nd GREEN PRIX DI FIORANO Speed and Regularity Event for Alternative Energies vehicles, which will take place on: Purpose of Events 15-16July 2006 on the Ferrari Circuit of Fiorano. The purpose of these Events is the promotion of environmentally friendly and commercially suitable Electro-Solar and Alternative Energies powered vehicles. In line with the pioneering nature of Automobile Sport, countless technical concepts are tested through competition. These Events are intended to demonstrate to the public the performance of these vehicles and thus their suitability for everyday use. GENERAL CONDITIONS This event will be organised in conformity with the International Sporting Code (and its annexes), with the General Prescriptions for the Alternative Energies FIA events (both circuit and hill-climb), with the Sporting Regulations of the FIA Alternative Energies Cup, with the requirements of driving tests, with the prescriptions stated in the National Sporting Regulations applicable to FIA rules, with the Formula Challenge National Regulation (NS 13), with the supplementary rules and any other provision of the CSAI, according to which it has to be understood as regulated what isn t specified in the following articles and in the present Supplementary Regulation. The Organising Committee will ensure that the event has all the required administrative authorisations. Owing to the inscription, each entrant as well as his driver, eventually his principal, his person in charge, is deemed to know and to comply with the requirements of the National Sporting Regulations, binding himself to respect and to let respect all the applicable regulations. He renounces the appointment of arbitrators or other jurisdictions for facts deriving from the organisation of the event and/or the carrying out of the competition, acknowledging as only competent jurisdiction the CSAI, with the exception of the right of appeal as indicated in the RNS. He releases Organisers, Officials, ACI, CSAI, the owner and/or manager of those routes hosting the event itinerary, as well as Automobile Clubs being part of the organisation,

5 from any third party responsibility for physical and/or material damages suffered by the entrant/driver, staff, goods and other people. Trophies and Cups Article 3 DESCRIPTION 3.1 Circuit The competition will be held on the Circuit Ferrari in Fiorano (MO Italy) The length of the track is specified in the Programme, for each race The direction of the race is: anticlockwise The race procedure is in conformity with the FIA General Prescriptions, (point 17) There will not be any formation lap (warm-up lap) The starting grid of the 2 nd race will be established in order of the classification of the first race. The starting grid of the 3 rd race will be established in order of the classification of the second race. If a driver doesn t start in the first or in the second race he will be placed in the last position. If there are more than 1 driver, the priority will be established on the basis of the official practice. :3.1.6 Penalties for knocking down skittles: upon signalling of Road Marshals (on chicane or any other section) a time penalty of 5 seconds for each skittle will be inflicted Classification of the FIA CUP 2006: the classification of the FIA Cup for 2005 is established taking into account the two best results obtained by each driver during the three races they took part to. Therefore each driver may discard the result of one race. 3.2 Regularity Driving Test vehicles of daily use Definition of vehicles of daily use (Category IIIA) Vehicles of Category III A are designed for daily use in public traffic and are identical to Category III cars with the exception of the roll-bar and the fire extinguisher which are free. For these vehicles no supplementary safety equipment s other than that required by the Road traffic laws of the Country is required. No safety equipment s (crash helmet, flame-resistant clothing) is required for the drivers. Vehicles of Category III A cannot take part in events where the goal for the target is the speed Description of the Regularity Event (RE). A crew composed by one or two driver and a co-drivers or by a driver and one navigator is required for the RE. Competitors must cover 10 laps of the circuit (about 3000 m.) at an imposed average speed in kilometres per hour. This average speed will be communicated to each crew, at the start by the Clerk of the Course. The length of the track must be considered conventional and accepted by the entry of the event. Protests against this length are not admitted. Each lap will be considered a Regularity Test timed at 1/100 of a second. The start s interval between each vehicle will be established by the Clerk of the Course Competitors should maintain along the Regularity test, a speed as close as possible to the imposed average speed Penalties

7 Each 1/100 of a second early or of lateness with reference to the ideal time will be penalised in points as follows: - For each 1/100 of a second early: 1 point - For each 1/100 of a second of lateness: 1 point Any sonorous signalling apparatus (like bora or similar) is strictly forbidden under pain of a penalty which may go as far as exclusion. Article 4 ELIGIBLE CARS (In conformity with the 2005 FIA and CSAI Technical Regulations) 4.1 Circuit Category I Solar- powered racing vehicles Category II Electrically powered converted, modified, and prototype vehicles Category III Electrically powered series production vehicles Category IV Electrically powered motor cycles Category V Racing Electric single-seaters Category VI Racing sports prototypes Category VII Hybrid vehicles Category VIII Other alternative energies vehicles 4.2 Regularity Event (RE) All Categories of vehicles in conformity with the 2004 FIA Technical Regulations, are admitted to the RE RE classifications A general classification based on the regularity test will be issued. All Categories of vehicles, on the basis of this classification, can score points for the CSAI Cup and the FIA Trophy of the Category IIIA. As for the Regularity Test, in fact, all vehicles, independently of the belonging Category, are considered vehicles of Category IIIA, vehicles of daily use Competitors must declare in the entry form which of the following technology and energies they utilise: 1. Electric 2. Hybrid 3. Fuel Cells 4. Solar powered 5. Combustion engines: Petrol Diesel NGV LPG Bio-fuel Hydrogen

8 Provided that these energies respect the principles mentioned above in the definition of the vehicles of Categories VII and VIII as defined in Articles 2.9 and 2.9a of the FIA Technical Regulations Competitors may enter vehicles based on different technologies, however the Organisers reserves the right to refuse their participation. Article 5 ENTRY FORMS ENTRIES - INSURANCE 5.1 Any FIA competition licence-holder wishing to take part in the: 3 nd FIORANO GREEN PRIX Must be holder of the following documents: Speed in circuit - FIA competition licence. Drivers of Category V class 1 (electrokarts) can also be holder of an International Italian Karting licence of grade C Senior Regularity Test: - Driving licence according to the entered vehicle - ACI membership-card (Italian Drivers) - FIA D licence (foreign Drivers) - Medical certificate of good health The entry form duly completed must be sent to the Event Secretariat: T.I.M. CROSS Comitato Organizzatore Via Viazzolo, Soliera (MO) Tel/Fax 059/ timcross@libero.it within the closing date: hrs 08 July 2006 if the application is sent by fax, the original must reach the organiser at least three days before the beginning of scrutineering A driver may drive more than one vehicle of different category (Speed event) A driver who has not carried out official practice, might be authorised, by the Stewards, to take part to the competition The entry form must be accompanied by: A photocopy of the "FIA Technical Passport" or for establishing this Passport during the Scrutineering, one photo 3/4 front and one photo 3/4 rear of the vehicle. The manufacturer s certification for vehicles of Category III (see Appendix 1 to technical Regulations) The authorisation according to Article 70 of the Code, for foreign competitors (not member of the European Community) The entry fee Entry fees Insurance

9 Entry fees are fixed as follows: 106,00 Categorie I, II, III, IIIA, V&VI, VII e VIII 62,00 Categorie V classe 1 e Categoria IV The entry application will only be accepted if accompanied by the total entry fees. Entry fees will be refunded in full: to competitors whose entry has not been accepted; in the case of the Event not taking place Insurance details of the insurance cover The Organisers have taken out a Third Party liability insurance according to the prescriptions of the Act n 990 and of the CSAI (NSA). There is not liability insurance for personal injury or damage between drivers. Article 6 ADVERTISING Details concerning advertising will be communicated by bulletin Article 7 ENERGY - CHARGING AREA REPAIRS AND CHANGING OF PARTS 7.1 Energy Charging Area The propulsion energy of the vehicles is exclusively the electricity (exceptions: Categories VII Hybrids and VIII - Alternative Energies Vehicles). During the event, recharging shall only be permitted at predefined times, in the Charging Area, with the tested charging unit and via the allotted socket (16A), as detailed in the programme. Consequently, no source of energy (except on-board solar panels), in whatever form, liable to supply vehicle batteries is authorised on board (exceptions. Categories VII and VIII). Any action enabling a vehicle to move other than by its own means is prohibited under pain of a penalty which may go as far as exclusion. Charging Area is subjected to park fermé rules when notified by the Officials of the Event Only the following procedures may be permitted in the Charging Area under supervision of a scrutineer: - Maintenance of vehicles - Monitoring that the working of the charging unit and all the components for charging are in working order; - Monitoring the charging level of the batteries; Repairs and Changing of Parts Exceptionally work on sealed parts and changing of damaged batteries may be permitted at the discretion of the panel of the Stewards, under supervision of a scrutineer. For energy classification (if any), the theoretic energy of each changed battery as stated in the passport and in the batteries technical form, must be added to the charged energy from the main. Article 8 SCRUTINEERING - ADMINISTRATIVE CHECKS

10 8.1 - Competitors must present the technical passport of the vehicle with the electrical drawings (see Article 4.6 of the Technical Regulations) For Category II prototype and modified cars,the documentation provided for in Articles and of the Technical Regulations must be presented for drawing up the technical passport For Categories IIIA and VIII (without passport) a technical passport will be drawn up during the Scrutineeering, on the base of the road licence or of the officials documents published by the manufacturer such as selling list, model options, and maintenance manuals. Article 9 DRIVERS' SAFETY EQUIPMENT Circuit During practices and Races, drivers must wear, under pain of exclusion, approved crash helmets (see Appendix L, Chapter III, Article 1 to the International Sporting Code), safety belts, closed overalls, made from acid resistant material (at least cotton) as well as balaclava, gloves, etc. Drivers of vehicles of Category IV can wear also crash helmets approved by FIM Regularity No safety equipment (crash helmet, flame-resistant clothing etc.) is required for the drivers. Article 10 PROTESTS APPEALS 10.1 Sum of the protest fee set by the ASN: If the protest requires the dismantling and the reassembly of different parts of a car, the claimant must pay an additional deposit established by the Stewards Sum of the appeal fee Sum for a national appeal fee (ASN): Sum for an international appeal fee (FIA): Article 11 CLASSIFICATIONS. According to the FIA Electro-Solar Cup Regulations (point 5) the following classifications shall be drawn up: 11.1 Circuit Category I Category II classes up to 4 Category II classes over 4 Category III classes up to 4 Category III classes over 4 Category IV class 1 Category IV class 2 Category V class 1 Category V&VI V over Class 2 and VI over class 4) Category V&VI VI up to Class Regularity General classification for all Categories

11 11.3 In order to attribute the honour prizes, a classification on the sum of times of the two races (or of the two best results obtained by each driver during the three races they took part to), for each category,will be issued.
