1 th Year BORN: Jan. 25, 1985 (Age 33) Cincinnati, Ohio La Salle High School One of the toughest and most reliable players in team history, Brent Celek does it all from the TE position. He is a big target in the passing game, a relentless blocker and an unquestioned leader on the squad. Despite not being invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, Celek went on to become a 5thround pick (162nd overall) in 2007 and developed into one of the most productive Eagles TEs ever. Celek has also ingrained himself within the community with his philanthropic work and business acumen. After inking a new deal in 2016, Celek is signed through MOST RECEPTIONS EAGLES HISTORY Cincinnati D5b-07 (162nd overall) by Philadelphia HAROLD CARMICHAEL 589 PETE RETZLAFF 452 BRIAN WESTBROOK 426 LONGEST - TENURED PRO ATHLETES IN PHILADELPHIA ACTIVE PLAYERS (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL) BRENT CELEK SEPT CLAUDE GIROUX FEB JASON PETERS SEPT THREE STEP DROP Favorite businessperson: Elon Musk First job: A janitor in his uncle s motorcycle shop Bucket list: Driving in a NASCAR race First jerseys: Charles Woodson, Michigan; Jerome Bettis, Pittsburgh Steelers Favorite TV show: Nature documentaries narrated by David Attenborough BRENT CELEK 398 PETE PIHOS 373 CAREER HIGHLIGHTS Celek s 175 regular-season games played for the Eagles ranks fourth all-time in franchise history, trailing only David Akers (188), Brian Dawkins (183) and Harold Carmichael (180) Has produced the 4th-most catches (398) in franchise history, trailing only Harold Carmichael (589 from ), Pete Retzlaff (452 from ) and Brian Westbrook (426 from ) Ranks 8th in Eagles history with 4,998 receiving yards, behind Harold Carmichael (8,978 from ), Pete Retzlaff (7,412 from ), Mike Quick (6,464 from ), DeSean Jackson (6,117 from ), Pete Pihos (5,619 from ), Tommy McDonald (5,499 from ) and Bobby Walston (5,363 from ) Favorite musician: Guordan Banks

Celek (811), Maclin (859) and DeSean Jackson (961) became the first trio in Eagles history to each post 800+ receiving yards in the same season BUSINESS INTERESTS Celek acquired his desire to invest and research business ventures during his college classes at Cincinnati. I would often get bored in class and sometimes just log onto the internet during class to research companies. Not much has changed today as Celek uses Flip Board to keep up with all the latest news and trends in business, style, entrepreneurship, architecture and design. 40 UNDER 40 In 2014, Celek became the first NFL player to ever be named to Philadelphia Business Journal s 40 under 40 for his success in his multiple business TAKE FLIGHT FOUNDATION Founded in 2010, Celek s Take Flight Foundation has a primary goal of providing seriously ill and physically-challenged children throughout Greater Philadelphia with daily support and lifechanging experiences. For more information on Celek s foundation, visit brentcelek.org. It ticked me off, to be honest. I thought I would be drafted higher, but it just lit a fire under me that I will always carry. BRENT S NO. 1 FAN Celek s No. 1 fan is his grandfather, Ed, and vice versa. We ve been very close from when he was little on up, Ed said. Brent gave his grandfather the ball from his first TD in THE BUS Celek tries to model his game after one of the all-time great running backs: Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis. I grew up watching Jerome Bettis and loved the way he played. He was a beast, the first guy never took him down. When I have the ball in my hands, I try to be like him. That s my mindset. BIRDSEED Celek and his wife, Celeste, reside in Philadelphia. His parents, Steve and Debbie, own three hair salons and spas in Cincinnati named Paragon Salon. Celek has two younger brothers: Garrett, who is a tight end for the San Francisco 49ers, and Tyler. He also has two younger sisters: Stephanie and Mackenzie. Celek was a two-time all-distrcit and all-league selection at La Salle High School (Cincinnati, OH) who also lettered in track and field, participating in the shotput and discus events. Celek began playing football in the 2nd grade as a fullback for Our Lady of Visitation (Cincinnati, OH). Celek grew up a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals as his family owned 10 season tickets. His favorite Bengal of all time is Boomer Esiason. He also enjoyed watching Notre Dame football.
