2 New Zealand Superstock Grand Prix 27th & 28th December 2017 Entries Close 10th December 2017 Rainoff date 1st January 2018 TWS Paradise Valley Raceway The event will be run in accordance with the Speedway New Zealand Rule Book All Drivers must hold a current SNZ Inc licence and all vehicles must comply with the current Speedway New Zealand Rule Book and supplementary regulations. All competitors must have a Competitor Clearance from their home track. A Competitor Clearance form is attached. The completed form must accompany the entry form. Any entry forms that do not have the Competitor Clearance form attached will not be accepted. Electronic Lapscoring will be used. Lapscoring will be by way of the Dorian Data Timing/Scoring system. Vehicles without a transmitter will not be permitted to race. The Rotorua Stockcar Club does not provide transmitters. No Telephone entries will be accepted. The closing date will be strictly adhered to. The Rotorua Stockcar Club reserve the right to alter the format and closing date after consultation with officials if deemed necessary. Sponsors transfers may be affixed to each competitor s vehicle. Noise level of 95dba will be enforced. Smoking will not be permitted in Dummy Grid areas at all times. In the event that you have forwarded an entry form and you discover that you cannot attend, you must notify the promotion of your inability to honour this contract. 3 FORMAT Scrutineering will be at the track both days from 2pm to 4pm All cars are to be in the pits and scrutineered by 4pm. Technical Inspections: Please pay attention to rules E2-3-1 to E Practise Practise 27th December only - 4pm to 5.00pm Practise will be limited to six laps per session. Cars will form up on the dummy grid and go onto the track in groups of It will be on a first up best dressed basis, but with a maximum of ten cars on the track at any one time. Qualifying and Finals As per Rule M4-32. Dependant on numbers of entries, entrants will be divided into equal groups with a maximum of 26 cars over three heats, with a SNZ Format. Each qualifying race will be 12 laps. Finals races will be 15 laps. The highest Points deemed to be the winner. Any tied points for first, second or third will be decided by a four lap runoff. Qualifying - Maximum 26 cars per group. Two Groups: Top 12 points scorers from each group and two from a Repecharge race which will be the first race on the Finals Night. Three Groups: Top 8 points scorers from each group and two from a Repecharge race which will be the first race on the Finals Night. In the Repecharge race any tied points will be determined by a count back of the highest finishing place during Qualifying. The Repecharge race and the next tier of Championships will be made up in order of overall points from qualifying. If a qualifier does not pass Scrutineering on Finals night that position will be taken by the next highest points scorer in his qualifying group. Consolation Races other than the 2nd Tier Championship will be dependant on the number of cars entered and will be determined at the discretion of the Promotion.

5 TRACK Length 344m Surface - Thermal Clay mixture The Promotion is aware that the track surface is crucial to a good race meeting and will be doing all it can to provide that surface. OFFICIALS FOR THE MEETING Senior Referee: TBA DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY The Rotorua Stockcar Club Inc has a strict drug and alcohol policy, a copy of which can be found on our website By entering this event you accept that you may be subject to testing for either drugs or alcohol as per our policy. The Rotorua Stockcar Club reserves the right to test the first three placegetters of the NZ Superstock Grand Prix. SNZ has a Zero tolerance regarding the use of drugs and alcohol in the sport DRIVERS BREIFING Drivers Briefing will take place at 5.15pm on both days, all drivers must attend, no attendance, no race. Briefing will take place in the bottom floor of the new Clubrooms. START TIME 27th December the Gates will open at 2pm with a 7pm start. 28th December the Gates will open at 3pm with a 7pm start. AWARD CEREMONY Trophies for both championships will be presented on the track after the final results are confirmed. If there is insufficient time the presentation will be made in the Club Rooms immediately after the end of the meeting. AFTER MATCH FUNCTION The Clubrooms will be available for socializing after the event. Please bring your Club membership card with you. RAINOUT In the event of a Rainout the meeting will be run on the 1st of January 2018, then to be advised. There are toilets, a Unisex shower and washing facilities. There are no cooking facilities or powered sites. Please book this on your entry form if required. $15 per night per Motorhome plus donation for showers, plus normal entry fee to the meeting. The Pitching of tents in the Car Park is not permitted. ADMISSION TO VENUE Admission prices are: 27 th December 2017 Qualifying Night Adult $25.00 Child $10.00 Family $55.00 Children under 5 free Admission prices are: 28 th December 2017 Finals Night Adult $30.00 Child $10.00 Family $65.00 Children under 5 free Family Pass is two adults and up to four children between 5 and 16years. Driver and one crew member in for free per night. AMBULANCE 2017/18 Season everybody who picks up a Scrutineering Card be required to make a donation towards the Ambulance of $ To help make this an easy job, please bring along a $10 note and bring it up to the Armband Ladies when you collect your Scrutineering Card. UNDER 12s IN THE PITS. Armbands in the pits will be strictly enforced, children under 12 will be required to wear a Hi Viz Jacket and be accompanied by an adult or a sibling who is over 12 years of age. Hi Viz Jackets are for sale but feel free to provide your own. Any children found to be in the pits without a parent or sibling will lose the privilege of being in there and will be removed.
