Today begins a stretch of nine-straight games against N.L. Central opponents, as the Cubs play these three games in St. Louis before returning home to play three-game sets against Cincinnati and Milwaukee next week the Cubs have a 10-8 record within their division and are 7-9 outside of the division. Eddie Butler becomes the sixth starting pitcher utilized by the Cubs this season in game number 35 last year, the Cubs did not utilize a sixth starter (Adam Warren) until July 6 in game number 84.
