The Senators seek to even the set after Altoona took the series opener 6-1. The Senators are 4-7 against Altoona this season after the Curve took two of three from the club June 6 to June 8 at FNB Field in the two clubs most recent series. The two teams play one more time after the series in a four game set to finish the regular season. DON T GET COMFORTABLE After the current road trip, the Senators will not be at home or on the road for longer than four games until a seven game road trip from August 8 to August 13. In addition, the Senators have just one homestand longer than four games remaining this season, a six game set from August 15 to August 20. MARMOLEJOS ON THE ROAD Jose Marmolejos is 6-15 on the current road trip after finishing 1-4 Monday night, including a hit in all five games. The 2017 Eastern League All-Star is now batting.356 on the road with six home runs, 25 RBI and a.994 OPS, as opposed to a.210 batting average at home. STARTING THINGS OFF Senators starting pitchers on the active roster (not including players on the disabled list) have a 3.29 ERA over 12 starts and 68.1 innings during the month of July. Senators pitchers have allowed more than three earned runs just twice over the 12 starts. CORDERO S IMPROVEMENT Jimmy Cordero tossed two perfect innings in the series finale against Richmond, continuing his solid season since early May. The right-hander allowed four or more runs in four straight outings at the end of April however since May 1st, which spans the 23 games and 33 innings, Cordero is 2-2 with a 2.18 ERA and opponents are hitting just.190 against him over that stretch. YADIEL ON FIRE After finishing 1-2 with a walk on Monday night, Yadiel Hernandez is hitting.316 in the month of July and leads the club with a.935 OPS during the month. SENATORS STARTING PITCHER Taylor Hill starts for the Senators in game two of the series. The right-hander is 4-1 with a 4.78 ERA across eight starts with the Senators this season. Hill allowed two earned runs, four total, in six and two thirds innings in his last start against Richmond on Thursday June 13, and at one point retired 17 of 18 batters. The 28-year-old has also started eight games at triple-a Syracuse where he is 2-5 with a 7.83 ERA. ALTOONA STARTING PITCHER The Curve counter with starter JT Brubaker. The right-hander is 4-4 with a 5.17 ERA over 14 starts this season. Brubaker allowed three runs across six innings in his last start on July 13 against Bowie. The start was Brubaker s first where he went past the fourth inning since June 18. Brubaker is making his third start of the season vs. the Senators.
