Los Angeles is coming off a homestand in which the club went 6-4 and took series from the Rockies, Padres while splitting four games with the Phillies. With yesterday s loss, the Dodgers have now won 10 of 14 games since May 17. Following the weekend series in Denver, the Dodgers will have an off day in Pittsburgh on Monday, before beginning a three-game set with the Pirates Tuesday night. The club returns to Chavez Ravine a week from today and begins an eight-game homestand against the Braves, Rangers and Giants. The Dodgers took two of three from the Rockies a little more than a week ago at Dodger Stadium. Last year, the Rockies won the season series, 10-9 and the clubs split the 10 games at Coors Field, 5-5. The Dodgers are against the NL West this season and tonight will be their first truly meaningful game at Coors Field since May 14, Los Angeles visited Denver for the final regular season road series last year (Sept. 29-Oct. 1), but had already clinched their fifth consecutive NL West title. THE STARS TAKE WASHINGTON: This morning, Major League Baseball marked the official start of All-Star Balloting for the 2018 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard, which will be held on Tuesday, July 17 th at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. For the fourth consecutive season, MLB s All-Star Balloting Program will be conducted exclusively online and via mobile devices at MLB.com, all 30 Club web sites and the MLB At Bat and MLB Ballpark mobile apps. Beginning on Friday, fans around the world can cast their votes for starters a total of 35 times with the 2018 Camping World MLB All-Star Ballot, including a maximum of five valid ballots cast in any 24-hour period. The AL squad will be managed by A.J. Hinch of the defending World Series Champion Houston Astros, while the NL team will be led by Dave Roberts of the defending NL Champion Los Angeles Dodgers. Following the announcement of the American League and National League All-Star rosters, fans will begin voting to select the final player for each League s 32-man roster via the 2018 Camping World MLB All- Star Final Vote, which Justin Turner won last year. MEN IN THE PEN: The Dodger pitching staff has been strong in the last 14 games since May 17 (10-4 record), posting a 2.29 ERA (32 ER/126.0 IP), holding the opposition to a.192 average while striking out 147 batters against 29 walks.
