2 Black and Gold Baseball - Common Coaches Rules 1. Each coach shall be required to give the opposing team and scorekeeper correct batting order by player last name and first initial and jersey number 10 minutes prior to start of game. 2. All age groups bat ALL free substitution (5-8 play 10 / 9-12 play 9) 3. Home team is required to provide the official score keeper and to keep the scoreboard. This score keeper is the official score keeper for the game. The game will not begin until the home team supplies a score keeper for the official book and the visiting team will man the score box. 4. The batter s box is designed by Dizzy Dean Rules. The catcher must be stationed behind the batters box and behind home plate. EXCEPTION: The umpire can move the catcher for safety of the players. 5. Teams must have a pitcher and a catcher as a position. 6. All age groups 5 runs per inning or 3 outs. 7. Both teams shall complete 6 innings unless mathematically are eliminated or allotted time has expired. An inning started will be completed only if the game is in reach for a tie or a win. Pool play may end in a tie. 8. The next inning officially starts immediately following the 3 rd out, if any time on the clock remains after the 3 rd out, the next inning begins 9. Offensively each team shall be allowed 4 coaches on the playing field, pitching coach, 1 st and 3 rd base coaches, dugout coach. 10. All bats must be approved by Dizzy Dean rules 2016 and considered unaltered and safe for play by the umpires (free from dents and cracks), wood and aluminum. BPF or BBCore 11. Any time remaining before the next game will be divided equally between the next two teams to warm up. No infield practice on game fields before games. 12. OFFICIAL PROTESTS shall be made with a $200 CASH protest fee and according the Dizzy Dean Rule Book per that age group rules, during the game. If the protest is upheld the fee shall be refunded, if the fee is denied the fee will NOT be refunded. Once a game is deemed concluded a protest can NOT be made. 13. Head Coaches are responsible for the conduct of his/her coaches, parents, players and other spectators. 14. If a player is injured by a live ball in the head, face, throat, time will immediately called and the player will be awarded 1 base, any other injury deemed serious by the umpire will be handled in the same manner. 15. Any other rules not covered in these rules or age appropriate rules are governed by the Dizzy Dean Rule Book. 16. Coaches please clean up your side of the field, including dugouts and bleachers after each game.

3 Black and Gold Baseball 5/6 Coaches Rules 1. Bat all - play 10 Free substitution 2. Pool Play game time is 65 minutes or 6 innings; no new inning will begin after 65 minutes. 3. Bracket Play game time is 75 minutes or 6 innings, no new inning shall begin after 75 minutes, 6. Batters will be given 5 pitches or 3 swings, on the 5 th pitch if the ball is not a fair ball the batter will continue to bat until fair ball is hit, or a swing and a miss, or a pitch that a batter does not swing at occurs and the batter will be out. NO TEE ALLOWED. 7. Defensively teams shall be allowed 2 coaches in foul territory only behind the outfielders. 8. Defensive teams are only allowed 6 players inside the 10 base line arc. 9. Called time Play shall be stopped by umpire when the lead runner is headed off or stopped by a defensive player with the ball. The secondary runner shall not advance to the next base if he has not passed at least halfway determined by the umpire. This is a judgment call by the umpire. 10. Once the ball is hit the pitching coach will immediately leave the field of play and pick up the bat or the batter will be called out. The defensive coach cannot interfere with the batted ball unless the defensive player is in danger or hurt. A dead ball will be called.

4 Black and Gold Baseball 7/8 Coaches Rules 1. Bat all play 10 free substation. 2. Game time is 65 minutes; no new inning will begin after 65 minutes. No game will be called before 65 minutes. 3. Bracket Play game time is 75 minutes or 6 innings, no new inning shall begin after 75 minutes, 6. Batters will be given 5 pitches or 3 swings, on the 5 th pitch if the ball is not a fair ball the batter will continue to bat until fair ball is hit, or a swing and a miss, or a pitch that a batter does not swing at occurs and the batter will be out. 7. No tee hitters allowed. 8. Defensively teams shall be allowed 2 coaches in foul terroritory behind the outfielders 9. Defensive teams are only allowed 6 players inside the 10 base line arc. 10. Called time Play shall not be stopped by the defense heading off the lead runner; any other runner may advance at their own risk Dizzy Dean Rule Farm League 5-8, 21:15 page 56.

5 Black and Gold Baseball 9/10 Coaches Rule 1. Bat all play 9 free substitution. 2. Pool Play Game time is 70 minutes, no new inning will begin after 70 minutes. No game will be call prior to 70 minutes. 3. Bracket Play game time is 80 minutes or 6 innings, no new inning shall begin after 80 minutes, 6. Pitching sheets must be filled out and signed by both coaches after each game and placed in the official book. Failing to report pitching and coaches signing pitching log will result in a forfeit if challenged inning for all pitchers / 48 hour pitching rules applies to all tournament play! 8. DO NOT VIOLATE ANY DIZZY DEAN PITCHING RULES 9. If a pitcher pitches 1 pitch beyond 3innings a day he must rest 48 hours from time of departure from mound. A pitcher may not re-enter as a pitcher in that game once removed, per Dizzy Dean Rules hour rest rule! 11. DO NOT VIOLATE ANY DIZZY DEAN PITCHING RULES

6 Black and Gold Baseball 11/12 Coaches Rules 1. Bat all play 9 free substitution. 2. Pool Play Game time is 70 minutes, no new inning will begin after 70 minutes. 3. Bracket Play game time is 80 minutes or 6 innings, no new inning shall begin after 80 minutes, 6. Infield fly rule is in effect, less than 2 outs and runners on 1 st and 2 nd. 7. Runners may play off and steal at own risks. 8. Runners can run on dropped 3 rd strike. 9. Pitching sheets must be filled out and signed by both coaches after each game and placed in the official book. Failing to report pitching and coaches signing pitching log will result in a forfeit if challenged inning for all pitchers / 48 hour pitching rules applies to all tournament play! 11.
