Beat the Pirates in the series opener last night by a score of 6-2 the win clinched a winning road trip for the Rockies the Rockies have finished above.500 on each of their first two road trips of the season. Since losing their first two road games of the season, the Rockies are 8-2 on the road, including winning six of their last seven on the road. After an off day Thursday, Colorado returns home to Coors Field for a six-game homestand against the Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres. ABOUT THAT SERIES The Rockies took three of four games from the Nationals, the first time since 2006 that they have won a four-game series at Washington. 2 #35 ROCKIES STARTING PITCHER CHAD BETTIS RHP Height: 6-0 Weight: 209 Age: 28 (April 26, 1989) Born: Lubbock, Texas Acquired: Selected in 2nd round, 2010 LUBBOCK LIGHTS The Lubbock, Texas, native is a member of his third career Opening Day roster, his first since 2016 in his sixth Major League season. Selected by the Rockies in the second round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Texas Tech University. Attended Monterey High School in Lubbock was named to the all-region team before his senior season drafted by Houston in the eighth round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft, but did not sign.
