The Hooks unlocked a 4-4 tie by sending 11 men to bat in the sixth. Eight hitters reached before the first out was recorded. Jamie Ritchie put Corpus Christi in front with an RBI single off Yeison Medina. Myles Straw made it 6-4 by coaxing a bases-loaded walk from Ramon Santos. Rojas was next and seared a line-drive into the right-field alley, sending three home. Randy Cesar capped the barrage with a run-scoring single. Yoanys Quiala earned his second consecutive win by retiring 15 of the 19 men he faced, striking out six. The Hooks final marker came in the eighth.
