BOUNCE BACK STRONG: Following last night s tough 9-6 defeat in Game 4 of the World Series against the Boston Red Sox, the Dodgers tonight will look to stay alive, down 3-1 in their best-of-seven series in Game 5 at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers won their second consecutive National League pennant last week and are representing the NL in the World Series for the second year in-a-row against the American League champion Boston Red Sox, who downed the Houston Astros, 4-1 in the ALCS. This marks the Dodgers 11 th trip to the Fall Classic since moving to Los Angeles in 1958, their 20 th World Series appearance in franchise history and first consecutively since The Dodgers are 8-7 in this year s Postseason and the club owns a 5-2 mark at home (2-0 vs. Atlanta, 2-1 vs. Milwaukee, 1-1 vs. Boston). There have been seven teams that have come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the World Series including the 2016 Cubs, 1985 Royals, 1979 Pirates, 1968, Tigers, 1958 Yankees, 1925 Pirates and the 1903 Americans (best-of-nine).
