Through 13 games this season, the Tribe s 9-4 record is the second-best start in the Victory Field era, falling just short of the 10-3 mark most recently set by the 2008 squad... The win also improved the Indians record to 5-0 against Toledo this season and 12-1 over their last 13 contests against the Mud Hens dating back to last season... Cole allowed just a single hit and struck out five over the first six innings of last night s victory on his way to earning his first win of the season... With Sanchez s three-run blast in last night s victory, the Indians have now homered in four of their last five games... Brandon Inge drew a walk in last night s contest and has now drawn a free pass in 9 of the 12 games in which he has played for the Tribe this season... Inge s nine walks on the season are tied for the third most in the International League. TONIGHT S TRIBE STARTER: RHP Kyle Waldrop (0-0, 0.00 ERA) is scheduled to make a spot start for the Indians in tonight s series finale against Toledo... Waldrop will be making his second appearance this season for the Tribe after tossing 3.1 scoreless innings over which he allowed just four hits and no walks while striking out three on April 12 in Columbus... The right-hander, who was signed as a free agent in the offseason, began his career in the rotation, making 90 starts and one five inning relief appearance from while in the Minnesota Twins organization... After missing the entire 2008 season following right shoulder surgery, Waldrop made the move to the bullpen, where he has remained since As a starter from Waldrop went with a 4.04 ERA (234 ER in IP)... Since making the move to the bullpen in 2009, Waldrop has turned in record and 2.90 ERA (106 ER in IP)... His last start came on September 2, 2007 with High-A Fort Myers, when the right-hander earned the win over Dunedin after allowing just three runs over 7.0 innings pitched... Waldrop finished the 2012 season in the Minnesota bullpen and posted an excellent 2.53 ERA over 21.1 innings pitched... The IL veteran s last outing of more than three innings came on May 19, 2011 at Gwinnett, when he struck out six over 3.2 hitless frames while a member of the Rochester Red Wings. TONIGHT S MUD HENS STARTER: Toledo will send its second lefty starter to the mound in as many games when LHP Duane Below (1-0, 2.19) makes his third start of the season tonight... The southpaw opened the 2013 campaign with a no-decision on 4/7 in Louisville in which he allowed two earned runs through 6.0 innings, walking one and striking out five... He also surrendered a solo homer in the contest... Upon returning home, Below picked up a win against the Bats on 4/12 after giving up just one earned run through 6.1 frames He also fanned four in the win... The hurler has allowed two of four left-handed batters to hit safely this season, but has posted a.103 clip (4-for-39) against right-handed opponents... Originally selected by Detroit in the 19th round of the 2006 MLB Draft, Below split the 2011 campaign between Toledo and the Tigers, and spent the majority of last season in the Major Leagues, where he went 2-1 with a 3.88 ERA (20 ER in 46.1 IP) in 27 games (one start)... He last faced Indianapolis on Aug. 28, 2012, when he suffered the loss after allowing three earned runs on six hits in 4.0 frames of work... Below owns an overall record of 2-1 with a 2.60 ERA (5 ER in 17.1 IP) in three career starts against the Tribe, including a 1-1 mark and 3.48 ERA (4 ER in 10.1 IP) through two outings at home. CAN T HOLD DOWN HARRISON: INF Josh Harrison continues to put on a impressive performance since joining Indianapolis on April The right-handed slugger collected two more base hits and drew a walk in yesterday s 4-2 win, and has now reached safely in six of his nine plate appearances... Harrison s five hits in the last two games are the most in the International League. HEEEE S GREAT: Tribe C Tony Sanchez belted his first home run of the season in last night s victory over Toledo, connecting on what proved to be the game-winning, three-run shot in the top of the fifth inning... After collecting just one hit through his first five games, Sanchez has put together a four-game hitting streak during which he has batted.500 (7-for-14) with four runs, two doubles and six RBI... His.500 average, seven hits and six RBI all rank as the second-best totals in the IL during his streak... BULLPEN BITS: In last night s victory, RHP Erik Cordier and LHP Mike Zagurski combined to allow just a run over 2.2 innings of relief out of the Indianapolis bullpen... Overall this season, the Tribe bullpen has posted a 6-1 record and 1.86 ERA (11 ER in IP), allowing just 13 walks while striking out 57 over 53.1 innings of work...
