In the event that the tournament can not be completed, the ASA Rule Book may determine the order of finish. The tournament director reserves the right to switch teams to a different field for scheduling reasons or for other circumstances that may arise. A suspended game will be resumed from the point of the suspension. Any piece of equipment determined to be illegal will be pulled, tagged and may be picked up at the end of the tournament or when the team has been eliminated. Furnished by the Tournament Sponsors. 4 Tournament General Information Sheet 1. Tournament will be double elimination with a FOUR GAME GUARANTEE. All teams will receive TWO pool games prior to bracket play. All play is governed by the 2012 ASA Rule book and the Texas ASA Supplemental Rules. 2. The TOP THREE FINISHERS will receive automatic berths to USA/ASA Class A National Championship July 30-Aug in Moline, Illinois. All other teams competing in the State Tournament will automatically qualify for ASA Southern Nationals, August 2-5, 2012 in Tallahassee, Florida. 3. The tournament host will furnish the game balls. 4. Teams must be ready to play day or night. Game time is forfeit time. 5. All teams must be ready to play at 5:00pm on Friday, June All games will be seven (7) innings or a 1 hour and 30 minute time limit; Except for the championship and if game, which will play a full 7 innings or run rule. Pool play games will be 1 HOUR DROP DEAD. 7. Run Rule 15 runs after 3 innings, 12 runs after 4 innings and 8 after 5 innings. 8. Protests must be registered with the plate umpire before the next pitch. The protest committee will render a ruling before play resumes. No protest will be accepted on umpire s judgment. 9. No infield practice will be allowed at anytime on the game fields. 10. Home team will be decided by a coin flip 11. Team at the top of the bracket will take the 1st base dugout; the team at the bottom of each bracket will take the 3 rd base dugout. 12. Alcohol and pets are NOT permitted in the complex. SMOKING IS PROHIBITED. 13. The tournament director reserves the right to switch teams to a different field for scheduling reasons or for other circumstances that may occur. 14.
