Indianapolis also currently owns the best overall record in Triple-A, just ahead of the Sacramento iver Cats (82-55) of the Pacific Coast League and the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees (81-57) EY NOW YOU E AN ALL-STA: It was announced today that former Tribe OF Starling Marte and current Indians closer Tim Wood were both named to the International League post-season All-Star team... In 99 games for Tribe, Marte batted.286 (111-for-388) with 21 doubles, 13 triples, 12 home runs, 62 BI, 64 runs scored and 21 stolen bases... At the time of his promotion, Marte ranked in the top five in the International League in several offensive categories and his 13 triples still lead all of Triple-A baseball... Wood becomes the first reliever to ever be a two-time postseason all-star in the International League since the position was added to the ballot in The Tribe closer also took home postseason allstar honors in 2011 after leading the IL with 23 saves to go along with a 2.84 EA... Wood s 53 appearances and 20 saves this season both currently rank second in the IL, while overall the right hander owns a 6-6 record and 2.09 EA (16 E in 69.0 ) with 64 strikeouts and just 23 walks. OSTE UPDATE: The Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday afternoon announced that they have recalled SS Chase d Arnaud from Indianapolis... This is d Arnaud s first stint with Pittsburgh the season... d Arnaud went 4-for-5 for the Indians in Monday night s win, accumulating a double, three runs scored and two stolen bases...
