PITCHING MATCHUPS: (Rematch of 4/10) 24-year-old RHP Tyler Wagner makes his fourth start of 2015 and second against Pensacola in search of his fourth win...got the win at PNS on 4/10 allowing one unearned run on 5 hits over 6.0 innings, striking out 4 and walking none in the win. Wagner is one of four Southern League pitchers with three wins this season. The 4th round pick in 2012 out of Utah has a 1.59 ERA, allowing just 3 earned runs in 17.0 innings. He is ranked as Milwaukee s No. 9 prospect, according to Baseball America entering the season...24-year-old Daniel Wright makes his fourth start of 2015 and second against the Shuckers. Wright allowed 6 runs on 5 hits in 2.2 innings, suffering the loss on 4/10 opposite Wagner. Wright was a 10th round pick by Cincinnati in 2013 out of Arkansas State.. In 2014, ranked among all Reds minor league pitchers with 14 wins (T1st) and 141 strikeouts (2nd). SHUCKERS RECAP: The Shuckers split a pair of 2-1 decisions on Sunday afternoon. Henderson started the season on the 15-day disabled list with right-shoulder inflammation. In 2014, he had season-ending surgery on his right shoulder after being placed on the 60-day disabled list on July 21. The native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada went 2-1 with a 7.15 ERA in 14 relief appearances for Milwaukee. In 111 career games for the Brewers from , Henderson is 8-9, with a 3.44 ERA, posting 137 strikeouts in 102 innings pitched and 31 saves. 2 SHUCKERS NOTES/ABOUT THE SHUCKERS WHO ARE THE SHUCKERS?: Formerly the Huntsville Stars, the new Biloxi professional baseball team revealed the new identity on November 24, 2014, as the Biloxi Shuckers took center stage during a ceremony inside Biloxi s historic Saenger Theatre. The team name was selected after nearly 60,000 votes were cast after the month-long Name the Team contest yielded six finalists. A tenacious oyster is the centerpiece of the identity, seen both in the club s primary logo, home and alternate caps. The letters BS to make up the road cap designation - the Biloxi Lighthouse logo, resiliently rising above historic storm waters. Gulf Blue, Sand, Coral, and Black make up the club s new official colors, paying tribute to the Gulf Coast. The Shuckers are the first professional sports team to use this color combination. Coach, Sandy Guerrero Guerrero, 48, enters his 13th season as a coach in the Brewers organization. He previously coached at Double-A Huntsville ( , 2014) and Triple-A Nashville ( ). In addition, he spent two seasons as hitting coordinator from Guerrero served as manager for the Northern Division in the 2007 Southern League All-Star Game after scheduled manager Don Money pulled out of the contest to coach in the All-Star Futures Game. Another career highlight came in July 2009 when he served as the pitcher for Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder during the MLB Home Run Derby in St. Louis. Fielder won the contest. Before coaching, Guerrero had a 19-year playing career that included stints in the minor leagues with Toronto and Milwaukee. He also played professionally in Mexico, Taiwan and the independent Northern League. The former infielder played in the Brewers farm system with Class-A Stockton ( ), Double-A El Paso ( ) and Triple-A Denver ( ). In 1998, Guerrero won a league championship in Taiwan, claiming the batting title with a.361 batting average. Guerrero s father, Epy, was a renowned Major League scout in the Dominican Republic, while his brother, Mike, is the first base coach with the Brewers. Sandy and his wife, Jessica, reside in Huntsville, Alabama. Pitching Coach, Chris Hook Hook, 46, is in his eighth season in the Brewers organization. He served as pitching coach at Double-A Huntsville each of the past three seasons. Hook originally joined the organization as pitching coach at Huntsville in 2008, and spent three seasons in the same role with Class-A Wisconsin from before returning to Huntsville ( ). This past offseason, he served as pitching coach with the Glendale Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League. Prior to joining the Brewers, Hook was the pitching coach for the Florence Freedom of the independent Frontier League from He also spent three seasons as the pitching coach for Northern Kentucky University from Hook was a pitcher for 11 professional seasons ( ), including two years in the Major Leagues with San Francisco from He went 5-2 with a 5.89 ERA in 55 career Major League games. Originally signed as a non-drafted free agent by Cincinnati in 1989, he also pitched in the minor leagues with San Diego, San Francisco, California and Houston. He finished his playing career in the independent Atlantic League.
