HANGING ZEREOS: William Cuevas (3-1) fired five scoreless frames and fanned six, leading the Sea Dogs to a 3-0 win over Reading in the series opener Cuevas yielded only 3 hits, one walk and threw 45 of 73 pitches for strikes Pat Light earned the hold by fanning five over 2 IP and Dayan Diaz pitched the final two innings for his second save of the year David Chester blasted two- run homer off losing pitcher Zach Eflin (2-1) in the second Luis Martinez added a sacrifice- fly in the eighth.
