Despite being held to just one run last night, Chicago ranks tied for fourth in the majors with 79 runs scored since the All-Star Break the only clubs to score more: Colorado (88), San Diego (83) and the Mets (81). Last night s setback snapped a nine-game road winning streak dating to July 2 at Cincinnati the road winning streak, along with the Cubs 11 home games in that span, meant that last night was the first time since July 1 that Chicago didn t pitch in the ninth inning.
