1 GAME NOTES LISTEN LIVE: threshersbaseball.com Clearwater at Dunedin Saturday, April 9, 2016 Game No. 3 Starting Pitchers: RHP Ranfi Casimiro (0-0) vs LHP Ryan Borucki (0-0) Shark Bytes THRESHERS OPEN HOME SCHEDULE, FALL 8-3: The Clearwater Threshers welcomed their 2 Millionth fan and kicked off their 2016 home schedule at Bright House Field on Friday, but suffered their second-straight defeat in falling 8-3 to the Dunedin Blue Jays. Clearwater (0-2) placed a runner on base in every inning, but left 17 stranded in the homeopening loss. Zach Green, Gabriel Lino, and Herlis Rodriguez each slashed two hits, as the Threshers tallied ten in the hit column. All ten hits were singles. KING OF THE LINEUP: Scott Kingery moved up to the leadoff spot on Friday and reached base three times. Kingery led off in the 1st, 4th, and 8th innings, and worked his way on base each time, beating out an infield hit and drawing two walks. He also swiped second in the fourth inning. After being drafted in the second round last summer, Kingery hit third in the Blue Claws order for 43 of his 66 games. GOING GREEN: Zach Green turned in his second-straight multihit game to open the season, singling to left in the third inning and serving a single to center in the fourth. Green is 4-for-9 on the young season, after the 22-year old was limited to just 26 games in 2015 due to a wrist injury. THRESHERS CELEBRATE 2 MILLIONTH FAN: The Clearwater Threshers welcomed in their 2 millionth customer to Bright House Field on Friday - Maura Bresnahan was the lucky winner, receiving two Threshers Season Tickets for life, use of a suite for a Threshers game, a teamautographed baseball, $500 to spend at the Diamond Outfitters team store, a $100 tab at Frenchy's Tiki Bar in left field, four tickets to a Phillies Spring Training game, a weekend stay at Shephard's Beach Resort, a foursome in the Threshers annual golf outing, four Clearwater Marine Aquarium tickets, and a Baystar Restaurant gift card.
