RAY MATTER Yesterday at OAK, the Rays lost, 7-3, to snap a 5-game winning streak the 7 runs allowed were their most since May 13 at BAL (17), and they missed a chance for their first 4-game sweep of the Athletics since July 24-27, 1998 the Rays are 6-2 in their last 8 games to improve to 28-27, and they have been over.500 since the end of play on Tues at OAK for the first time since their Opening Day win vs. BOS. ROAD RAYGE The Rays have played an AL-most 31 games on the road, and they have 5 games remaining on this current road trip they are on the road but 17-9 (.654) following an 0-5 start to the season since April 9, the 17-9 record is best in the AL and 2nd in the majors to the Nationals (16-7) the Rays are 9-2 in their last 11 road games since May 14 at KC and have pitched to a 2.50 ERA (101-IP, 28-ER) in those games.
