2 #48 ROCKIES STARTING PITCHER GERMAN MÁRQUEZ RHP Height: 6-1 Weight: 215 Age: 22 (Feb. 22, 1995) Born: San Felix, Venezuela Acquired: From Tampa Bay, Jan. 28, 2016 GRANDE LIGAS 22-year-old right-handed rookie made his first career Opening Day roster did not make an appearance before being optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on April 9 when reliever Chris Rusin returned from the disabled list recalled April 25. Acquired from Tampa Bay on Jan. 28, 2016 along with left-handed pitcher Jake McGee in exchange for outfielder Corey Dickerson and infielder Kevin Padlo. Made his Major League debut on Sept. 8, 2016 at San Diego, allowing two hits and three runs in 2.1 relief innings.
