The Sox are 2-6 on this trip, splitting the first two games of this series, dropping two of three games at Tampa Bay and suffering a three-game sweep at Detroit last weekend by a margin. Following today's game, Chicago returns home for four games vs. Baltimore (6/12-15) before taking a six-game, seven-day trip to Toronto (6/16-18) and Minnesota (6/20-22). The White Sox went 4-3 on their last homestand vs. Detroit (3-1) and Boston (1-2) and 3-7 on their last trip to the Angels (0-3), Seattle (3-1) and Arizona (0-3). TODAY'S STORYLINES José Quintana is 3-1 with a 1.39 ERA (9 ER/58.1 IP) in nine career games (eight starts) at Progressive Field. The White Sox are in position to win three straight series in Cleveland for the fi rst time since winning four in a row from The Sox are at Progressive Field since 2015 after going 3-15 combined in Chicago is hitting.284 ( ) with 32 home runs and 117 runs scored (4.9 R/G) over its last 24 games. LHP David Holmberg earned his fourth major-league victory and fi rst since 7/30/15 vs. Pittsburgh (with Cincinnati), allowing two runs on three hits over 5.0 IP. Chris Beck (0.1 IP), Dan Jennings (0.1 IP) and Anthony Swarzak (1.1) posted holds, and David Robertson threw the fi nal 2.0 IP for his 10th save in 11 chances. The Sox 1-4 hitters combined to go 10-21, with Melky Cabrera and Jose Abreu each recording three hits and one RBI starts this season Matt Davidson drove in two runs with a fi rst-inning single, while Tim Anderson, Avisaíl García and Yolmer Sánchez collected two hits apiece. WHERE'S THE HELP? José Quintana is receiving a career-low 2.58 run support average in 2017, the second-lowest mark in the major leagues behind Philadelphia s Jerad Eickhoff (2.37). Quintana has received a total of 20 runs of support in his 12 starts this season 10 of the 20 runs have come over two outings (4/26-5/2). His 3.84 RSA since 2012 is second-lowest in the major leagues behind Andrew Cashner (3.69). READYING FOR RETURNS LHP Carlos Rod n is scheduled to make his second rehab start today for Class AAA Charlotte at Gwinnett he made his fi rst rehab start on Tuesday for Class A Winston-Salem in game one of a doubleheader at Carolina, allowing fi ve runs on four hits with six strikeouts over 3.1 IP (71 pitches). Rodón, 24, was placed on the 10-day disabled list on 4/2 with left biceps bursitis and transferred to the 60-day disabled list on 5/4. RHP James Shields made his second rehab start for Charlotte on Thursday at Gwinnett, allowing two runs on four hits with no walks and fi ve strikeouts over 5.0 IP in a loss. Shields, who has been on the disabled list since 4/21 with a strained right lat, is 0-2 with a 3.00 ERA (3 ER/9.0 IP) over two starts with Charlotte after going 1-0 with a 1.62 ERA (3 ER/16.2 IP) in three starts with the White Sox. DRAFT DAY The First-Year Player Draft begins tomorrow, with MLB Network and MLB.com providing pick-by-pick coverage during the first round, Competitive Balance Round A, the second round and Competitive Balance Round B, beginning at 6 p.m. CT. BUEHRLE TO BE IMMORTALIZED The White Sox will honor former LHP Mark Buehrle on 6/24, retiring his No. 56 jersey during a special tribute before the 1:10 p.m. game on 6/24 vs. Oakland. Buehrle will be the 12th player to have his number retired by the Sox, including former teammates Paul Konerko (2015) and Hall-of-Famer Frank Thomas (2010). A 38th-round pick in 1998, Buehrle went with a 3.83 ERA, 27 complete games (eight shutouts) and 1,396 strikeouts over 390 appearances (365 starts) with the Sox from , making four Ameircan League All-Star Teams and winning three AL Gold Gloves.
