DJ LeMahieu finished August with a.439 (43-for-98) batting average, which led the Major Leagues. The Rockies are the first team to have three separate players lead the National League in each of the three Triple Crown categories for a single month since the Dodgers accomplished the feat in Sept. of A Rockies player also led the league in runs (Blackmon, 30) and on-base percentage (LeMahieu,.535) the last time a team had individual players lead the five offensive categories that Rockies players held in August, not including ties, was the Cincinnati Reds in MANY MANY The 2016 season marks the first in which two Rockies players have had five or more multi-homer games in a single season both Nolan Arenado and Charlie Blackmon have five, tying for second in the Majors this year and tying for eighth all-time in franchise history for a single season.
