Los Angeles, which was swept for the second time this season in their last series against Cincinnati, has lost seven of its last eight games since May 5. Following their three-game set in Miami, the Boys in Blue will travel to the nation s capital to take on the Nationals for a three-game weekend series. The Dodgers dropped the series against the Marlins in Los Angeles, 1-2, from April 24-26, including losing the last two games. Forsythe was placed on the 10-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation on April 15, while Turner was placed on the disabled list on March 26 with a left wrist fracture after being hit by a pitch during a Spring Training game on March 19. Prior to being placed on the disabled list, Forsythe went 8- for-46 (.174) with two runs, two doubles, one home run and four RBI in 12 games with Los Angeles. Wood last pitched on May 9 against the Diamondbacks, allowing just one run on five hits with four strikeouts over 5.0 innings as he did not factor in the decision. Despite the 0-3 record, Wood has been solid this season posting a 3.60 ERA (18 ER/45.0 IP) and striking out 42 batters against just eight walks, while also holding hitters to a.219 average. The southpaw also holds a 1.00 WHIP, which currently ranks fifth best in the National League trailing just Max Scherzer (0.82), Patrick Corbin (0.86), Miles Mikolas (0.96) and Aaron Nola (0.99). Wood has pitched well against the Marlins throughout his career, going 6-3 with a 2.73 ERA (20 ER/66.0 IP) in 13 games (10 starts).
