Modesto earned a 12-1 victory in the series opener on Tuesday before the Giants bounced back with a 4-1 win yesterday. Logan Webb (1-2, 2.08 ERA) is slated to make the start on the mound for San Jose tonight. Road Warriors The Giants are in the midst of a season-high nine-game road trip (3-2 record thus far). San Jose opened the trip last weekend by taking two out of three in Stockton before splitting the first two games of the current series against Modesto. The Giants are 8-4 in their last 12 road games overall. San Jose next travels to Lake Elsinore for a three-game series beginning tomorrow night. In Search Of Fourth Straight Road Series Win A victory tonight would give the Giants their fourth consecutive road series win. San Jose won two out of three at Lancaster from May 4-6, won two out of three at Modesto from May 8-10 and then won two out of three games in Stockton to open the current road trip. The Giants haven t won four straight road series since they claimed seven consecutive road series to open the 2013 season.
