The Cubs bullpen pitched at least 7.0 innings for the third time this season, and the second time in the last three games (8.1 innings Sunday in St. Louis, 1.0 inning Monday vs. Miami) Chicago s relievers have posted a 1.10 ERA (2 ER/16.1 IP) in the last three games, with a.113 opponent average and a.437 OPS. Last night marked the first time the Cubs bullpen tossed at least 7.0-scoreless innings since spinning 8.0 shutout frames, September 4, 2016 vs. the Giants. BÁEZ AT THE DISH: Javier Báez leads the majors with 32 RBI thus far he ranks second in the N.L. in slugging percentage (.653), third in extra-base hits (22), third in total bases (81) and tied for fourth in home runs (10). Báez is batting.351 (27-for-77) with seven doubles, a triple, six homers and 18 RBI in his last 18 games since April 17. Báez has seen 22 of his 36 hits go for extra-bases this season (10 homers, three triples, nine doubles).
