5 PROFESSIONAL: Entering his 11th professional season, second in the Twins organization after signing as a minor league free agent on August 21, originally selected by Cleveland in the fifth round (115th overall) of the 2009 Draft out of Faulkner University (Montgomery, AL) also selected by Milwaukee in the 27th round of the 2008 Draft, but did not sign earned Eastern League mid-season All-Star honors with Double-A Akron of in 2011 named Pitcher of the Week twice: August 8, 2011 with Akron and June 1, 2010 with Single-A Lake County of the Midwest League. Began the season with Sugar Land of the Independent Atlantic League after signing with the Skeeters, June 1 had contract sold to Minnesota, August 21 and was assigned to Double-A Chattanooga. Did not allow a run in 10 straight appearances (9.1 IP) while surrendering just three hits and one walk while striking out 13 from June 16-July 3. The Skeeters were 22-8 in games he pitched in.
