1 2016 Louisville Bats Preliminary Roster Profiles Pitchers Tim Adleman - RHP Resides: Wilton, Connecticut Notes: Named a 2015 midseason Southern League All-Star and also was SL Pitcher of the Week for 6/23-6/ was his first Major League Spring Training Making his AAA debut in 2016 after pitching in AA Pensacola last season Spent the first two years of his career in the Orioles organization. Steve Delabar RHP Age: 32 Resides: Elizabethtown, Kentucky Notes: Signed with the Reds on 4/2/16 Louisville is his third AAA team (Tacoma 11, 12, Buffalo 14, 15) In 24 games for Buffalo last season, he went 3-1 with a 1.42 ERA, pitching 29 and one third innings. Dayan Diaz RHP Resides: Cartagena, California Notes: 2016 will be his second stint in the International League after pitching in 28 games for Pawtucket in 2015 The Reds are his fourth organization (Astros, Cubs, Red Sox) He pitched in 57 innings last season, the second most of his career. Drew Hayes RHP Resides: McKenzie, Tennessee Notes: 2016 was his third invite to Major League Spring Training (2013, 2014) Making his second appearance with Louisville this season Appeared in 43 games last season, going 4-4 with a 2.95 ERA in 58.0 innings pitched In 2011, was a Midwest League All-Star, MiLB.com s Class A Relief Pitcher of the Year, and the Reds Community Service Award recipient. Stephen Johnson RHP Age: 25 Resides: Austin, Texas Notes: Acquired from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for Marlon Byrd August 20, 2015 Will be making his debut at the AAA level this season after playing in 163 career games between the AZL and Southern League Pitched for Peoria in the Arizona Fall League, along with teammate Lane Somsen.

Tim Melville RHP Resides: Chester, Virginia Notes: Signed to a minor league contract with an invite to Major League Spring Training 11/25/15 Beginning his second stint in the International League after pitching in 27 games for Toledo in 2015 The 27 starts tied for the most in the League Pitched his first career complete game at Columbus on 6/3/15, taking the loss while allowing just one run on three hits. A.J. Morris RHP Age: 29 Resides: Humble, Texas Notes: Signed to a minor league contract with an invite to Major League Spring Training 12/23/15 Pitched in 51 career games in the International League, all with Indianapolis Went 7-7 with a 3.09 ERA in those games All seven appearances in 2014 were starts, while 41 of his 44 appearances last season were in relief Was named International League Pitcher of the Week, 6/10-16/2014. JC Ramirez RHP Resides: Managua, Nicaragua Notes: 2016 is his first season in the Reds organization Louisville will be his fifth AAA team, and his sixth season at the AAA level, having spent three seasons previously in the International League (Lehigh Valley 12, 13, Columbus 14) Is 8-7 in 84 career International League games. Cody Reed LHP Age: 22 Resides: Lakeland, Tennessee Notes: Came to the Reds, along with Brandon Finnegan and John Lamb, from the Royals in exchange for Johnny Cueto Rated by Baseball America as the second best prospect in the Reds organization Was a 2015 Carolina League All-Star, and also earned Pitcher of the Week honors twice in the Carolina League and once in the Texas League. Chad Rogers RHP Resides: Galveston, Texas Notes: Limited to just 10 appearances in 2015 due to left knee meniscus surgery 2016 will be his third stint in Louisville after pitching in 12 games for the Bats in 2013 and 35 games in 2015 His career was delayed an entire year after he was bitten by a shark on 6/27/10 and the injury required 60 stitches.
3 Josh Smith RHP Resides: Punta Gorda, Florida Notes: In 2015, was one of nine rookie pitchers who made 110 starts for the Reds, both singleseason modern club records Made his Major League debut 6/23/15 at Pittsburgh He collected his first Major League hit in his first at-bat will be his third stint with Louisville after pitching in 15 games (12 starts) for the club last year. Layne Somsen RHP Resides: Sioux Falls, South Dakota Notes: Pitched last fall in the Arizona Fall League for Peoria Last year was his first above Class A, making 27 appearances between AA Pensacola (12) and AAA Louisville (15, 3 starts) In 29.2 innings with the Bats, he allowed 24 hits and 10 runs (9 earned), 14 walks and 29 strikeouts, with a 2.73 ERA. Pedro Villareal RHP Resides: Heath, Texas Notes: Began the 2015 season with Louisville and had five different stints in Cincinnati 2016 will be the fifth straight season he has spent time in Louisville Is in 114 career appearances for the Bats. Daniel Wright - RHP Resides: Bartlett, Tennessee Notes: Making his AAA debut after spending all of 2015 with Pensacola With the Blue Wahoos, he went 10-11, with a 4.53 ERA in 27 games, all starts The 27 games, along with his 155 innings pitched and 130 strikeouts, are all career highs. Batters Brandon Allen 1B/OF Age: 30 Resides: Indiana, Pennsylvania Notes: 2016 will be his eighth season at the AAA level Louisville will be his seventh team He played in the International League previously with Charlotte ( 09) and Durham ( 12) Also has seen time with Las Vegas, Tucson, Sacramento, and Reno Has played in 1,196 career minor league games Also has six different stints at the Major League level with Arizona ( 09, 10, 11), Oakland ( 11, 12) and Tampa Bay ( 12).
