Colorado has lost the first two games, 14-2 and 9-3. After today's game, the Rockies will return home for a six-game homestand against the San Diego Padres (three games) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (three games), playing six games in seven days at Coors Field. FLUSHING MEADOWS The Rockies face the New York Mets for the first time this season will play the Mets in three games at Coors Field, Aug. 1-3 overall, are vs. the Mets in franchise history, in Queens. Four Rockies rookies (Kyle Freeland, Jeff Hoffman, German Márquez and Antonio Senzatela) have started 56 of 91 games, going with a 4.24 ERA ( IP, 154 ER). FLYING DUTCHMAN Greg Holland s 28 saves are the most in Major League Baseball and the franchise history prior to the All-Star break. THANK YOU MIAMI The Rockies sent four players to Miami for the 88th All-Star Game, the most All-Stars in franchise history had previously sent three players seven times. Nolan Arenado started at third base for the National League and went 2-for-2, becoming the first Rockies player in franchise history to record at least two hits in an All-Star Game. Charlie Blackmon started in center field for the National League and went 0-for-3 Blackmon also participated in the Home Run Derby on Monday and hit 14 home runs, the third-most by a Rockies player in Derby history (most: 19, Larry Walker, 1997). Greg Holland tossed one scoreless inning in the All-Star Game and recorded two strikeouts, the most by a Rockies pitcher in an All-Star Game in franchise history he was the fifth Rockies pitcher in franchise history to appear in the game (last: Ubaldo Jimenez, 2010) and the second Rockies reliever to pitch in the All-Star Game (also: Brian Fuentes, 2006). Acquired: From Toronto, Jan. 28, 2015 THE HOFF 24-year-old rookie right-hander was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on June 4 will be making his 11th appearance (10th start) of the season, the 16th start (19th appearance) of his Major League career will be making his first career appearance vs. the Mets.
