P Kyle McPherson, who yesterday was activated from the Indianapolis disabled list and sent to Double-A Altoona, won his first start of the season with the Curve last night, allowing just one run one on four hits and one walk while striking out five over five innings of work TODAY S TIBE STAT: LP Justin Wilson toes the rubber in his 14th start for Indianapolis... Wilson comes into the game 5-4 with a 3.80 A... In his last start, 6/11 against ochester, Wilson picked up the win, tossing 7.0 innings of shutout baseball while scattering four hits, walking none and striking out six ed Wings... is last start against the Knights came on 7/26/2011 in Charlotte... In that game, Wilson took the loss, tossing 5.0 innings and allowing four hits, four runs (one earned), and three walks while striking out five batters... Wilson s 68 strikeouts lead the Indians staff, but so do his 33 walks TODAY S KNIGTS STAT: LP Charlie Leesman makes his 14th start for Charlotte... e comes in at 7-4 with a 2.42 A... Leesman has won five straight decisions and four straight starts... e picked up the win in his last start, 6/11 at Columbus, tossing 7.0 innings while allowing four hits (one home run), two earned runs and two walks while striking out five Clippers... This is Leesman s first year at the Triple-A level and he has never faced the Indians BOGGS BOMB: F Brandon Boggs took advantage of Saturday night s extra innings to extend his hitting streak in a big way, launching his fifth home run of the season and first since April Boggs has now hit safely in four straight games -- including two multi-hit games -- and eight of his past During that stretch, Boggs is 13-for-35 (.371) with three doubles, a home run, six BI and five runs scored FANTASTIC FIDAY: 3B Brian Friday also extended his hitting streak in Saturday s loss, going 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored... Friday has now hit safely in six straight games and 13 of his past During that 16-game stretch, Friday is batting.333 (13-for-39) with two doubles, one triple, five BI, six runs and four stolen bases DOUBLE YOU PLEASUE: SS Chase d Arnaud and 2B Anderson ernandez were the only Indians batter with multi-hit games on Saturday, and both hit a double CUT TO TE CASE: d Arnaud s double was his 10th of the season... Since a two-hit game at Buffalo on 5/21 that started a nine-game hitting streak, ernandez has hit safely in 16 of 19 games...
