TODAY'S GAME: The Giants claimed an eighth consecutive win for the first time since Sept by holding on for a 10-8 win in game one of yesterday's doubleheader, but fell 5-3 in the nightcap...the Giants look to take three of four games from the Rockies with a win today. TODAY'S TRANSACTION: Following last night's game the Giants optioned RHP Hunter Strickland to triple-a Sacramento...prior to today's game SF has designated IF Casey McGehee for assignment and have recalled RHP Hunter Strickland from triple-a.
