Has made two starts this postseason (Game 4 of NLDS and Game 4 of NLCS)...has received a no-decision in both outings, while posting a 5.19 ERA. Allowed one run or fewer in his first five postseason starts, but had his streak snapped in his last outing in the NLCS after surrendering four runs in 3.0 innings...the only pitcher with a longer such streak was Curt Schilling (6). Has pitched a scoreless outing in 20-consecutive postseason games, the second-longest playoff streak in Major League history in terms of games, behind Mariano Rivera (23). Is 3-1 w/2.21 ERA (5er, 20.1ip) while going 4-for-6 in save chances in 24 postseason games. Surrendered a walk-off home run to Kolten Wong in Game 2 of the NLCS...it marked his first career postseason loss. Went 6-4 with a 3.72 ERA (24er, 58.0ip) while going 23-for-28 in save chances in 64 relief outings in his seventh season with SF. Allowed career highs in runs, HRs, lost his closer's role at end of June after several blown SVs. Gave up nine HRs, most he's allowed in his career, tied for fifth-most among NL relievers. Was relieved of the Giants' closer duties on June 29 (blew 3/5 save chances). His five HRs allowed match MIL's Chris Narveson (2011) for the most by a reliever in a single postseason. 25-year-old rookie was recalled from triple-a Fresno Sept. 1, marking first big league call-up. Made nine relief outings for SF this season, tossing 7.0-scoreless innings with nine Ks. Was in big league camp this spring recovering from Tommy John surgery and missed the first month and a half of the season (underwent Tommy John surgery in May 2013). Spent most of the season with double-a Richmond, going 1-1 with a 2.02 ERA (8er, 35.2ip) and 11 saves in 38 relief outings. Scored the winning run in Game Five of the NLCS after pinch running for Pablo Sandoval. Is 2-for-4 in his postseason career as a pinch-hitter. Batted.375 (3-for-8) with three runs and two doubles in 12 games throughout the 2012 postseason. Batted a career-low.254 (49-for-193), with just nine extra base hits (seven 2Bs) and 15 RBI in 107 games. Started 40 of 162 games (12 at 3rd base, 10 at shortstop, 10 at 2nd and 8 at 1st) and hit.287 (37x129) as a starter. Is just 1-for-9 against left-handed pitchers this postseason, going hitless in his last eight at-bats. His solo home run in the 18th inning in Game 2 of NLDS gave the Giants a 2-1 victory...marked just the third extra-inning home run in Giants postseason history, along with Dusty Rhodes' in the 1954 World Series and Mel Ott's in the 1933 Fall Classic. Had an injury-riddled 2014 campaign that saw him land on the DL on three separate occasions, first with a broken left thumb (was HBP from LHP Paul Maholm May 9 at LA), then suffered a concussion that landed him on the DL twice after the All-Star break (was hit by a ball thrown by Marco Scutaro in the face while taking throws at first base during batting practice July 19 at Miami). Overall, missed a total of 96 games (missed 50 games with the broken left thumb and 46 games with a concussion). Batted.243 (52-for-214) with 12 HRs and 27 RBI in 61 games. Was sent to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center on Aug. 18 to visit Dr. Mickey Collins, who is considered one of the preeminent experts in sports concussions, in the hopes of gaining more clarity on his recurring concussion symptoms. Homered to lead off Game 2, marking the 19th leadoff homer in World Series history...his leadoff HR was the third leadoff homer in Giants postseason history and the first in the World Series. Finished his third season with the Giants and batted.260 (102-for-393) with 51 runs scored, 18 2Bs, six 3Bs, five HRs and 38 RBI in 146 games... went 16-for-21 in stolen base attempts, with his 16 steals tying Angel Pagan for the most on the team. Started 92 of 162 games, making 56 starts in center field and 36 in left...committed just one error in 226 total chances (6 assists). Went 7-for-25 (.280) with five RBI as pinch-hitter. Batted just.213 (30-for-141) in the leadoff slot with 12 extra base hits and 12 RBI, however hit.333 (84-for-252) everywhere else.
