3 1979 Diamond Greats I bought this card on ebay. The description of the cards was: Autographed 1979 Diamond Greats card Joe Dobson. Beautiful Signature signed in Blue Ink. This card came out of the collection of the Gentleman who put this set together. This set of 400 cards was designed for getting autographs on them and this same Gentleman still has the signed contracts from all 400 Ballplayers who are in this set giving him the right to produce their cards. Joe broke into the majors with Cleveland as a reliever in 1939 and was traded to the Red Sox after the 1940 season. # 284 Joe Dobson Cleveland Indians I bought this card on ebay. The description of the cards was: 1978 Grand Slam Joe Dobson 1978 Grand Slam Autograph. From the ultra rare 1978 Grand Slam set produced by Jack Wallin. Almost never offered for sale. 4 Exhibits Called "Exhibits" as they were issued by the Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago, Ill., this group covers a span of 20 years. Each numbered, black and white card, printed on heavy stock, measures 3-3/8" by 5-3/8" and is blank-backed. The Exhibit Suppy Co. issued new sets each year, with many players being reprinted year after year, other players appeared in only one or two years, thereby creating levels of scarcity. In 1962 and 1963, Exhibit sets were issued that featured statistics on the back; they are considered separate sets and are listed separately in the checklists below. Card fronts look exactly like all other Exhibits, but are not blank-backed. Cards from the 1962 set can be found with statistics in either black or red ink, with the red ink being much scarcer. The 1963 set has statistics in black ink only. Most of these cards were sold through a vending machine for a penny. #60 Joe Dobson -- Boston Red Sox 1953 Redman 1952 marked the first year of the giant of the baseball card industry. Topps Chewing Gum became a household name for baseball fans for their annual card issues. But another company also began producing cards in Redman tobacco issues lasted only four years, but they remain some of the most beautiful baseball cards around. Tobacco was a popular product for the distribution of baseball cards back in the early 1900s. But there were few tobacco issues after the 1920s. Finally, Redman came along and issued one card per tobacco pouch in The players in the 52-card set were chosen by The Sporting News. Measuring 3 1/2" by 4" including a detachable tab at the bottom, the cards featured many of the stars of the day like Ted Williams, Stan Musial and a young Willie Mays. The tab could be detached for a free Redman baseball cap and, of course, many of them were detached. Today, cards with the tabs still attached carrry a premium AL 15 Joe Dobson White Sox Collectors willing to settle for "tab-less" cards can find some great bargains compared to Topps or Bowman cards of the same vintage as they are worth percent of the value of the cards WITH the tabs attached. The cards feature portraits of the players with biographical information on the front. Redman continued to produce its cards in 1953, 1954 and The complete sets all carry a book value of between $650 and $2700, depending on condition. There were 52 cards issued in 1952 and 53 and 50 in 1954 and '55. The cards are numbered 1 through 25 or 26 with an "A" or "N" behind the number designated for "American" or "National" League with an even number of players from each league represented.

5 1982 TCMA 1952 White Sox This card was printed by TCMA in It is part of a 15 card extension of the 1952 Bowman baseball set. These 15 cards were found in the old Bowman archives and were intended to be in the 1952 set but never were included TCMA 1946 Red Sox #262 Joe Dobson -- Boston Red Sox This card was printed by TCMA in 1975 Regular Issue 43 cards set that spotlights the 1946 Red Sox. Most of the cards measures approximately 2-3/4" X 3-3/8". #11 Joe Dobson -- Boston Red Sox 1947 Tip Top Bread This is a reprint of the 1947 Tip Top Bread card of Joe Dobson. The 163-card complete set actually consisting of severally regionally-issued releases. The teams included are the Braves, Browns, Cardinals, Cubs, Dodgers, Giants, Pirates, Red Sox, Tigers, White Sox and Yankees. Each team has 15 players in the set, except for the Dodgers and Pirates with 14 each. Each card is 2-1/4" x 3" and features a borderless black-and-white player photo on the front, with ads on the back. The set includes a number of lesser players hard to find in other issues, including many who appeared during the talent-strapped WWII years. Included as well are first issues of Yogi Berra and Joe Garagiola, along with cards of stars Honus Wagner, Warren Spahn, George Kell, Phil Rizzuto and Dom DiMaggio. #3 Joe Dobson Boston Red Sox
