The M-Braves also enter tonight s game with a six-game road winning streak. LAST TIME OUT: The Mississippi Braves plated four runs with two outs in the first and never looked in the rear view mirror en route to a 9-3 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts on Wednesday night at AT&T Field. The Braves (25-20) got a two-out, two-run double from Matt Kennelly to break the tie against Lookouts (17-28) starter Nick Struck in the opening frame, and the Braves never gave up the lead. Elmer Reyes followed suit with a two-run double of his own to make it 4-0 out of the first. Mississippi tacked on another run in each of the second and third innings. In the second, Mycal Jones smacked a two-run double, moving to third on an Emerson Landoni single and scoring on a Cedric Hunter RBI groundout to first to make it 5-0. In the third, Matt Kennelly reached when Darnell Sweeney threw high to first for his first of two errors on the day. Two batters later, David Rohm got a single to make it 6-0. Williams Perez (3-3) was brilliant again as he celebrated his 23rd birthday. He threw six innings of shutout baseball, allowing just two hits and three walks while striking out seven en route to picking up the win. Mississippi grew their lead to 7-0 when Kennelly, Kyle Kubitza and Reyes hit three straight singles to open the fifth, with Reyes driving in his third run of the game. In the sixth, the Braves made it 9-0. Jones reached on another Sweeney error, Landoni singled and Seth Loman hit a mammoth two-run double off the top of the wall in straightaway center. The Lookouts didn t start scoring until the eighth off of the Braves bullpen. They got an RBI single from Scott Schebler off of Eric Berger in the eighth. They tacked on two more to pull to 9-3 off Brandon Cunniff, scoring on an RBI knock by JC Boscan and a sacrifice fly by Darnell Sweeney. Struck (0-3) took the loss for the Lookouts, allowing six runs-five earned-on nine hits over three innings.
