6 SFSA MISSION The Sartell Fastpitch Softball Association is a not for profit organization. We exist to support and promote competitive softball for young women between the ages of 6 through 18 who live in Sartell, St. Stephen or currently attend school in the Sartell-St. Stephen School District. 6

26 8U League Information League Starts June 5 th and goes through the end of July Games played Tuesday and Thursday nights in Sartell at Pine Meadow - start time at 6pm or 7:15pm 70 minutes which will consist of a min practice then a game for 8u Play other Sartell Teams no travel required 26
27 8U Equipment Player to provide their own glove Softball shoes are recommended but not required. SFSA will provide team equipment including bats, helmets, softballs and catching gear. Optional: batting helmet, bat, sliding pad and infield face mask 27
28 10U League Information League Starts June 5th and goes through the end of July Games played Tuesday and Thursday nights - start time at 6pm Consist of home games played at SMS or limited travel to local area teams. Additional practices scheduled at the coaches discretion One end of year tournament at SMS fields 28

30 12U-18U League Information League Starts Tuesday June 5th Tuesday Nights only (unless makeup games are needed) Double Headers starting at 6pm Home games are played at Sartell Middle School Fields. Away games will consist of travel against other teams in the St. Cloud League 30
31 12U-18U Equipment SFSA will provide the following Equipment: Catchers Gear Batting helmet with face mask Players must provide: Glove Fielding Face masks (strongly encouraged) Softball Cleats (no metal cleats until 14U) Player needs to provide gray pants and royal blue socks to complete uniform 31
32 12U-18U League Information Practices: Start April/May depending on weather SMS Fields 1-2x per week at the coaches discretion 32
33 Team Philosophy 8U-10U Play on age appropriate team 8U teams are divided up evenly Once a girl has played in 8U for two years, they could move up to 10U 10U teams are divided up evenly 33
34 Team Philosophy 12U-18U Play on age appropriate team Playing Time League Games and Tournaments 2 games on league nights with every girl starting either game one or game two Pitcher for game one can not start pitching but can relieve in the second game to encourage player development Equal Pitcher/Catcher Distribution 34
35 Team Size The board recognizes it has an obligation to our players to keep roster sizes to a manageable level, thereby providing maximum playing time for all participants. Rosters will be limited to twelve (12) players per team for 14U, 16U, and 18U and thirteen (13) players per team at 10U & 12U. 35
36 Playing time expectations 8U 10U - There will be fair playing time, for all participants, in all regular season games. Positions will be rotated. 36
37 Playing time expectations 12U and up During the regular and fall season players will start in one of the two double-header games that are scheduled throughout the season. If you do not start game 1, then you will start in game 2. Tournament playing time may not be equal. Our focus is to be competitive at tournaments. For purposes of calculating tournament playing time, batting will be considered the same as playing in the field. If a player is not going to bat and/or field in a game this must be communicated to the player and parent. 37
