Major League Baseball provides wonderful opportunities for the Mariners, our fans, our players, our corporate partners, and our staff to make a positive impact on the quality of life in the Northwest, especially for children. Through Mariners Care, the Seattle Mariners non-profit foundation, over $1,121,785 was raised for youth programs in In addition, Mariners Care programs were able to benefit hundreds of charities in our community and thousands of youngsters were able to attend a Major League game. I am particularly proud of our players, coaches, and staff who personally supported these activities with hundreds of volunteer hours. Mariners Care is committed to making the Pacific Northwest a better place for our children to grow up by impacting youth-oriented community service programs and other worthy projects with the support they desperately need and deserve. The Mariners wish to thank everyone throughout our community who has been a part of Mariners Care. The story is captured on the following pages and we hope you will join us in our continuing efforts to expand the work of Mariners Care.
