Central, while matching their season best of 27 games over.500. HERE S A NEW ONE--Considering the Royals have a third baseman in their history who possesses a plaque in Cooperstown, it would see strange that Mike Moustakas accomplished something yesterday that was never done by George Brett and a statistical line not seen with Kansas City since with two doubles, a home run and four RBI, Moose became the first Royals third baseman to assemble those specific stats in a game since Joe Foy on September 20, 1969 against the Chicago White Sox. THE ULTIMATE TWO-OUT RALLY--The best two-out hitting team in the Majors enhanced its numbers yesterday with a huge ninth inning two-out explosion in Boston... both Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas delivered two-run knocks after two were out to up Kansas City s big league leading mark to.281 in two-out situations, including an American League best.275 mark with runners in scoring position...the Royals boast three of the top six individual two-out hitters with Lorenzo Cain (.387) leading the league, followed by Eric Hosmer (.351), who is fourth and Morales (.329), who is sixth...hosmer (59), Morales (55) and Cain (52) rank second, tied for third and fifth, respectively in two-out hits...morales, who ranks third in the A.L. in overall RBI (85) has driven more than half of those in with two outs, leading the Majors with 44. THE K IS THE PLACE TO BE--The Royals drew 357,890 fans during their last 10-game homestand in which the club went 8-2 and just in case you don t have a calculator (nor should you need one) that ciphers out to an average of 35,789 fans per game...kc has eclipsed the 30,000 mark on 47 occasions this year, posting a ledger in those well attended affairs, while going 13-5 in the 18 home sellouts this year...kansas City blew past the 2,000,000 mark in 2015 season attendance in the 60th home date on August 14, marking the fastest that KC has eclipsed that milestone, three dates earlier than the 1989 campaign...this is the 13th time in franchise history that Kansas City has drawn at least two million, but the first time in 24 years (1991)...Kansas City s current per game average of 33,609 per game is an improvement of 10,011 per contest compared to 62 dates last year...the Royals are on a pace to shatter the team record of 2,477,700 set in 89.
