Rick Porcello allowed two runs on six hits, while fanning nine batters over 6.2 innings, but did not factor in the decision. Al Alburquerque (4-3) tossed two scoreless innings to earn the win in relief for the Tigers. Miguel Cabrera led the Tigers offense with three hits, while Andy Dirks belted a pinch-hit three-run home run during the ninth inning.
