IT S A ROOKIE THING Colorado rookie starting pitchers Kyle Freeland (2.93) and Antonio Senzatela (3.31) rank eighth and 13th in the National League in ERA, respectively. Senzatela earned his sixth win of the season on Sunday, tied for the most wins in the National League with Clayton Kershaw. Rookie right-handed pitcher German Márquez has made four starts, going 1-2 with a 4.88 ERA (24.0 IP, 13 ER) Márquez eight shutout innings vs. the Chicago Cubs last Wednesday and took a no-hitter six innings he became the fifth Rockies pitcher (sixth time) in franchise history to pitch at least six no-hit innings at Coors Field (last: Jorge De La Rosa, May 16, 2014 vs. San Diego). SHERIFF OF SWATTINGHAM Mark Reynolds currently ranks tied for fourth in the NL in home runs (12) and tied for third in the RBI (33) he ranks 10th in batting average (.326) and sixth in slugging percentage (.630). Reynolds hit a home run in four consecutive games May 5-9, tied for the longest home run streak of his career (also: Aug. 6-9, 2012). WHAT A RELIEF Greg Holland registered his 16th save in his 16th opportunity Sunday, setting the Rockies franchise record for consecutive converted saves to begin a season. NOLAN BEING NOLAN Nolan Arenado is the only regular third baseman in the Major Leagues to have a perfect fielding percentage he ranks first among MLB third baseman in zone rating (.888), third in assists (78) and seventh in total chances (98). At the plate, Arenado ranks second in the National League in doubles (13), tied for third in extra-base hits (23) and tied for ninth in RBI (27). Acquired: Selected first Round 2014 First-Year Player Draft FOR STARTERS A native of Denver who graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, rookie will be making his eighth career Major-League start and fourth on the road in his first Interleague outing. Pitched collegiately at the University of Evansville in Indiana drafted by Colorado in the first round of the 2014 First-Year Player Draft (eighth overall). Invited twice to Major League Spring Training, in 2016 and Leads Major-League rookie starters in ERA (2.93) and batting-average against (.236) behind teammate Antonio Senzatela, ranks tied for second in the Majors among rookies in wins (3) and starts (7) second among Major-League rookies in innings (40.0) behind Senzatela (49.0).
