The Dodgers final homestand of the 6 season will be Sept. 9-5 against the Giants (3) and Rockies (4). The Dodgers are 5-5 all-time in Interleague play vs. the Yankees, playing the Bombers in 4 (three games), (3) and 3 (4). Los Angeles has played just two regular season games in Yankee Stadium, splitting a doubleheader on June 9, 3. Today, the Dodgers outrighted right-hander Casey Fien to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Fien was designated for assignment on Saturday. DOING IT ALL: Corey Seager, a top candidate for National League Rookie of the Year honors, went -for-4 yesterday and continues to rank among the NL leaders in hits (75, T- st ), runs (95, 4 th ), doubles (39, nd ), total bases (95, 4 th ), batting average (.39, 3 rd ), multi-hit games (5, T- nd ), extra-base hits (67, 6 th ) and slugging pct. (.537, 8 th ). Seager s 5 home runs are the most ever by a Dodger shortstop and the third most by a Los Angeles rookie, behind only Mike Piazza (35, 993) and Joc Pederson (6, 5). He already holds the Los Angeles record for doubles and runs scored by a rookie and currently has the highest on-base percentage by an LA rookie, while approaching the team single-season rookie leaders in most major offensive categories: Los Angeles Rookie Leaders, Since 958 Category Seager (Rank) Leader Hits 75 ( nd ) Sax (8, 98) Runs 95 ( st ) Seager Doubles 39 ( st ) Seager Home Runs 5 (3 rd ) Piazza (35, 993) Average.39 ( st ) Piazza (.38, 993) SLG.537 ( nd ) Piazza (.56, 993) OBP.377 ( st ) Piazza (.37, 993) Corey (5) and his brother Kyle (8) have combined to hit 53 home runs this year, which is currently tied for eighth all-time among brother duos and the most since Justin and Melvin Upton combined for 54 in. The mark eclipsed the Boston Red Sox, who had 7. (Source: Stats, LLC). JUST 3 GAMES LEFT FOR THE GOAT: Dodger Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully is scheduled to call just 3 more games for the Dodgers, a team he has worked for since 95. Next Friday, Dodger fans can salute Vin as the club will honor its longtime voice Sept. 3, prior to the game vs. Colorado, with Vin Scully Appreciation Day. The festivities will include special guests, an on-field ceremony with Vin and his family, as well as a video tribute. For tickets, go to MATCHUP vs. YANKEES Dodgers: st, NL est (3.
