ROCKIN IN THE FREE WORLD Right-handed pitcher Jon Gray made his first start for Triple-A Albuquerque last night since being optioned on June 30. Gray held the El Paso Chihuahuas hitless for the first five innings of the game before Javy Guerra led off the sixth inning with an infield single finished the night allowing two runs on two hits with no walks and six strikeouts over six innings pitched. JAWS Colorado s.989 fielding percentage ranks second in the NL, third in MLB the 34 errors are tied for the second-fewest in the NL while Arizona has the fewest at 32. Overall, ranks first in the National League with a.605 slugging percentage and 22 home runs, tied for first with 63 RBI, third with a.398 on-base percentage and fifth with a.313 batting average. MADE IN AMERICA Trevor Story ranks fourth in the NL with 60 RBI, second with 43 extra-base hits and fourth with 172 total bases leads all NL shortstops in each category while ranking third among shortstops with a.277 batting average. In 44 games since May 15, is batting.318 (57-for- 179) with 16 doubles, six home runs and 28 RBI. LEXINGTON AND CONCORD Colorado leads the Majors in runs scored in the first inning (72) and is tied for first in runs allowed in the first inning (72). 2 #44 ROCKIES STARTING PITCHER TYLER ANDERSON LHP Height: 6-3 Weight: 215 Age: 28 (Dec. 30, 1989) Born: Las Vegas, Nev. Acquired: Selected in first round of 2011 draft QUACKS LIKE A DUCK The 28-year-old left-hander will be making his 18th start of the season, his eighth at Coors Field is a member of his second career Opening Day roster in his third Major League season made his Major League debut on June 12, 2016 vs. San Diego. The University of Oregon product was selected as the Rockies first-round selection (20th overall) in Major League Baseball s 2011 First-Year Player Draft was also drafted in 08 by the Minnesota Twins, but did not sign. LAST TIME OUT Recorded his fifth win of the season in the Rockies 3-1 win at Los Angeles-NL on June 29 pitched a career-high eight scoreless innings, allowing four hits with one walk and eight strikeouts. SAN FRAN Will be making his second start of the season vs. the Giants after a no-decision in the Rockies 9-5 loss at AT&T Park on May 20 pitched 5.1 innings and allowed five runs on six hits with one walk and four strikeouts allowed a home run to Gorkys Hernandez left the game with the Rockies trailing 5-4.
