West leading Houston Astros starting Monday...the set consisting of all 7:15 starts will be the last regular season work between these clubs, with Kansas City owning a 2-1 advantage from a season-opening weekend stop in Minute Maid Park. 3-2 AT MIDWAY POINT--Yesterday s win over the Tribe upped Kansas City s mark to 3-2 at the halfway juncture of this 10-game homestand, with yesterday the first time KC allowed runs in a win on this stay...the first two triumphs came via the shutout starting with Eric Skoglund s 1-0 Major League debut (6.1 innings) on Tuesday against Detroit and then Jason Vargas going the route here on Friday night...a win today would give the Royals their second 3-game sweep of the season, also taking the Angels in three in a row during the initial homestand of the season...this stay will conclude when the A.L. West-leading Houston Astros hit town for four starting tomorrow night...overall, the Royals are in Kauffman Stadium this year, coming off of a 2016 season in which KC was at home.
