VS. NEW YORK: The O s lead the season series, 4-2, with all games played so far taking place in the Bronx The clubs will meet 19 games (nine times in Baltimore and four more in the Bronx in 2014) In 2013, the Orioles lost the season series, 9-10, going 6-4 in Baltimore and 3-6 in New York The O s trail in the all-time series , going in Baltimore and in NY. BALTIMORE BOMB SQUAD: The Orioles have hit 113 home runs this season and trail only Toronto (116) for the major league lead The Birds are on pace to hit 201 home runs Since June 1, the Orioles have hit a major league leading 59 homers, 17 more than Detroit (42), who are as close to the Orioles as they are to the teams that rank 25 th in that time (Atlanta, Minnesota, and St. Louis - 25) From June 21-July 2, the Orioles homered in 12 consecutive games, their longest such streak since they homered in 13 straight games from August 1-16, 2013 The 12-game homer streak was the second-longest in the majors this year (Oakland, 16). SLUGGING STEVE: Steve Pearce has a career-high 11 homers and 31 RBI this season It took Pearce 46 games (150 AB) to hit 10 homers this year He needed 192 games (488 AB) to hit his first 10 big league homers. SMALL BALL VS.
