LATE BLOOMER: 3B Chase Headley hit a game-tying solo-hr with two outs in the bottom of the ninth on Friday, his third career game-tying HR in the ninth inning or later (also a solo- HR in the ninth on 9/6/13 vs. Colorado and a two-run HR in the ninth on 4/13/12 at Los Angeles-NL, both with San Diego). The Yankees only other game-tying HR with two outs in the ninth inning since 2010 was Mark Teixeira s solo HR off Francisco Rodriguez on 5/11/14 at Milwaukee.
