LHP Aaron Loup, RHP Bo Schultz, and RHP Ryan Tepera allowed 1 hit over 3.0 innings of relief with 2 strikeouts, earning Tepera his 10 th AAA save of the year and a hold for the other hurlers. LHP John Anderson allowed 3 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks over 5.0 IP in his second career AAA start. OF NOTE: Dominguez became the first Bison to hit two grand slams in a season since Matt den Dekker last accomplished it in He is also the first to hit two grand slams at home in a year since Chris Clapinski hit three in He has a 5 game hitting streak including 3 multi hit games and has recorded 3 home runs in his last 8 contests. Anderson s win was his first at the AAA level. Adams has hit safely in 12 of his last 13 games that he has recorded an AB. In Loup s 6 outings for Buffalo he has thrown 6.0 innings, allowing only 4 hits while striking out 8 batters (0.67 WHIP). Next Probable Starter: RHP Chris Leroux (4 4, 3.61) NEW HAMPSHIRE FISHER CATS (AA) EASTERN LEAGUE New Hampshire: 5 runs, 14 hits, 0 errors Erie: 4 runs, 8 hits, 0 errors GAME RECAP: New Hampshire recorded 14 hits in a hard fought win over Erie. Many Fisher Cats had very strong offensive displays, including 2B Christian Lopes, who was 4 4 with two doubles, DH Matt Dean, who was 3 4 with a double and two RBI, LF Dwight Smith Jr. who was 2 3 with two walks, and 3B Jason Leblebijian who was 2 5 with a walk. RHP Chris Smith struck out 6 batters over the last 2 innings, giving up just 1 hit to earn his second save of the season. OF NOTE: 4 hits and 2 doubles were both season highs for Lopes. He has an 8 game hitting streak currently and a 12 game on base streak. Smith Jr. Has hit safely in 17 of his last 18 contests. Leblebijian has a double in 3 of his last 4 games. 2 DUNEDIN BLUE JAYS (A) FLORIDA STATE LEAGUE Brevard County: 0 runs, 3 hits, 0 errors Dunedin: 6 runs, 13 hits, 0 errors GAME RECAP: The Blue Jays dominant pitching staff led them to a 6 0 shutout with only 3 hits allowed. RHP Conner Greene started the game, allowing 3 hits and 2 walks over 7 scoreless innings while striking out 7 batters. LHP Franklin Morales issued a walk while striking out one in the 8 th and LHP Brett Cecil tossed a perfect 9 th with 2 strikeouts in their first rehab game. DH Ryan McBroom drove in a couple of runs going 3 4 with two doubles, C Jorge Saez was 2 4 with a home run and RF Jonathan Davis was 3 5 with a double and an RBI. OF NOTE: Greene recorded his third consecutive quality start after recording only one in his first 11 starts. He also has struck out 6+ batters in three straight games after only reaching this feat once in his first 11 starts. His 3 hits allowed ties a season best and has been achieved in back to back starts. Davis has extended his hitting streak to 8 straight games. He has an XBH in each of his last 4 contests, and has 7 RBI over his last 4 games. He is 2 nd in the Florida State league in OBP (.410) and OPS (.903), while placing 3 rd in SLG (.493). Next Probable Starter: RHP Chris Rowley (4 1, 3.20) LANSING LUGNUTS (A) MIDWEST LEAGUE Next Probable Starter: RHP Jon Harris (6 1, 2.36) AS BREAK VANCOUVER CANADIANS (SHORT A) NORTHWEST LEAGUE Everett: 5 runs, 9 hits, 2 errors Vancouver: 6 runs, 8 hits, 2 errors GAME RECAP: The Canadians were able to stay ahead by a run during a great offensive display by 2B Cavan Biggio, who went 4 4 with two doubles and an RBI. RHP Dan Lietz earned his first win for Vancouver, giving up 1 earned run over 2.0 IP on 3 hits and 1 walk, while RHP Jackson Lowery earned his 1 st save of the season, striking out 4 batters and giving up 2 hits over the last 1.2 innings of the ballgame. OF NOTE: Biggio had a 4 hit night in only his second Minor League game of his career. Lowery has struck out 5 batters over 3.1 IP. Next Probable Starter: RHP Justin Maese (0 0, 1.80)
