1 Apple Valley Traveling Baseball Clinic and Lesson Instruction Options In Preparation for 2016 Season This document provides 9 options for Apple Valley baseball players to improve their baseball skills in preparation for the 2016 baseball season. It is not meant to be an allinclusive list, but rather intended to be a resource of some available options in the Apple Valley area. Options 1 & 2 are ones that Apple Valley Traveling Baseball helped set up. The AV Pitching Clinic will be run by current University of Minnesota pitcher Ty McDevitt and former University of St. Thomas and St. Paul Saints pitcher Tommy Danczyk.

Gymnasium Batting Cages Rosemount, MN Portland Ave. South 2.7 miles east on County Road 42 past South Burnsville, MN Roberts Trail (MN 3), behind the baseball field (3 rd entrance on right) Dates: January 3 rd March 13 th Sundays, 7:30 9:00pm (No clinic on 02/07/2016 Super Bowl Sunday) Cost: $225 for 10 weeks (check only) Send payment to: Riley Peterson Fantasia Ave Rosemount, MN Clinic Focus: During workouts, players will work directly with Hitman instructors to improve key baseball skills, with emphasis on hitting, pitching, and fielding. Dates / Session Options: 02/23/16 thru 04/12/16 Monday 5:00 6:00pm & 6:00 7:00pm Cost: $140 YMCA Members $182 YMCA Non-Members Save 10% when you register by Dec. 28 th Register through YMCA Membership Desk Clinic Focus: A 7 week supervised small-group clinic designed to enhance baseball skills as well as the development of more advanced techniques in hitting that applies to all levels of competition. Specific focus will be on: Increased Bat Speed Hitting Mechanics Power Development Balance/Posture Contact Point and Foot Placement Bunting Throwing fundamentals & agility training included
4 4) Personal Lessons Provided By Dan Beech Instructor: Dan Beech Dan attended and played baseball for Apple Valley High School graduating in Since then he has been a coach/player for the AV Millers town team, youth traveling baseball coach and former AVTB board member. He has been giving private hitting lessons to boys and girls for the last 12 years. Besides participating as an instructor in many camps and clinics in the area, he currently is planning to work with the AVHS Baseball program in their off season hitting sessions. Dan s is also the player development coordinator/assistant varsity coach for the Prior Lake Fast Pitch Softball program. Contact Information: Phone: danbeech6@aim.com, dbeech@farmersagent.com Cost: $50 Per Hour for a private lesson Cage time not included but will receive a $7 dollar discount on cage fee if Dan is the instructor. Note: Most of Dan s students purchase a membership at The Cages to help with cage fees. Small group lessons: Ages 9-13 Cage time is included in the price. 4 Hitters - $20 per hitter 3 Hitters - $30 per hitter 2 Hitters - $40 per hitter Dan offers pay up front discounts. Buy 5 lessons, get one free (Cage time not included on the free lesson). Dan is also for hire for team lessons (12 $15 per player Dan will add another instructor for a team lesson) Lesson Information: Dan will customize a lesson schedule with your player and primarily provides private lessons at The Cages at 1353 Larc Industrial Blvd, Burnsville, MN. He also travels to other locations where players have membership passes like Saints Sports Academy or Pitch2Pitch or to local outdoor batting cages during spring/summer/fall.

The maximum number of players is 32. Sessions will be conducted in Lamarr s home workout area every Mon, Tues & Thurs of each week beginning Tues Nov 17 th 4:30, 5:30 & 6:30pm. Lessons will be 50 minutes in length each and will be drill oriented, reinforcing the fundamentals of hitting (set-up, balance, approach, bat speed, power and finish) while developing each individuals own unique abilities. Please note that an even number of participants is needed per lesson so that participants can be partnered up properly for drills. Cost: $45 cash only payment payable at each lesson. Because of the unknown number of days/months in which Lamarr will be able to continue this service, there will be no refunds or re-scheduling for any missed or cancelled lessons for any reasons. If I am unable to complete any number of pre-paid lessons for any reasons, any incomplete lessons will be refunded.
