WELCOME TO THE SHOW RH Jacob Faria was recalled to make his major league debut tonight, and 2B Brad Miller was placed on the 10-day DL with a right groin strain it was six years ago today that the Rays called his name on the second day of the First-Year Player Draft, a 10th-round selection out of Gahr High School (Cerritos, Calif.) the 23-year-old will be the seventh Ray to make his major league debut this season, following RH Austin Pruitt, INF Daniel Robertson, RH Chih-Wei Hu, LH José Alvarado, RH Ryne Stanek and RH Hunter Wood the only team that entered today with at least seven MLB debuts this season is Cincinnati (8).
