The Giants opened the series with a 3-2 victory over the JetHawks last night. Melvin Adon (0-3, 5.40 ERA) is slated to make the start on the mound for San Jose tonight. Three Straight Wins The Giants bring a three-game winning streak into tonight s contest. A victory this evening would match San Jose s longest winning streak of the season. The Giants have twice won four games in a row this year (April 13-16, April 20-23). First Half Midpoint The Giants have reached the midpoint of the 70-game first half. San Jose (21-14) and Stockton (21-14) are currently tied for first place in the North Division standings. The Giants haven t held sole possession of first place since April 26.
