WHEN WE LAST SAW YOU : The Dodgers return home tonight for a brief stay, taking on the Milwaukee Brewers for three games, before heading back out on the road to Phoenix (3 games) and San Diego (4 games) next week. Fresh off a 5-2 road trip, the club returns to Dodger Stadium, where they have been historically good this season, posting a record. The Dodgers have won 30 of their last 34 games at Dodger Stadium since June 7, including winning 12 of their last 13 games at home, and hold the best home record in the Majors with a.785 winning percentage. Los Angeles currently ranks second among the NL s all-time best home records since 1913, trailing only the 1975 Reds (64-17,.790). According to Stats LLC., the Dodgers 30-4 stretch at home is the best in the Majors since 1998, when the Yankees ripped off a 30-4 stretch from June 1-Aug. 16. When the Brewers and Dodgers last met on June 4 in Milwaukee, Los Angeles finished the day with a record, having taken two of three at Miller Park. Since then, the Dodgers are (.809). Los Angeles has won five of its last seven vs. Milwaukee at Dodger Stadium. With their win yesterday, Los Angeles became the first team in the Majors to reach 90 wins. It s the earliest date the franchise has ever reached 90 wins, besting the previous date of Aug. 31, accomplished by the 1953 club. ON THE HILL: Kenta Maeda tossed 5.0 perfect innings on Sunday afternoon in Detroit, but ran into trouble in the sixth and was saddled with his first loss since July 2. The right-hander is tied for 11 th in the NL with 11 victories and is looking to become just the 11th pitcher in the league to win at least 12 games this year. In his last seven starts, Maeda is 5-1 with a 2.58 ERA (11 ER/38.1 IP), a.204 opp. avg. (29-for-142) and a 0.97 WHIP in that span. Maeda lost to the Brewers on June 4 in Milwaukee, allowing two runs and two hits in 4.0 innings. In three career starts vs. Milwaukee, Maeda is 1-1 with a 2.20 ERA (4 ER/16.1 IP). His only start against the Brewers at Dodger Stadium came on June 19, 2016, when he allowed just one run in 6.1 innings while striking out eight. PLAY THE HITS: Corey Seager had the day off yesterday and is still riding a season-long 12-game hitting streak (19-for-54,.352), and has hit safely in 17 of 18 games with a.424 OBP, three doubles, a homer and 11 RBI since Aug. 3. Overall, he ranks among the NL leaders in batting average (.311, 11 th ), doubles (30, T-7 th ) and OBP (.394, 10 th ). Seager also ranks eighth in the NL with a.365 batting average with RISP (31-for-85). Justin Turner ranks second in the NL with a.331 batting average, while ranking third in OBP (.420) and 15 th in slugging percentage (.537). Chris Taylor ripped another three hits last night and is now tied for ninth in the NL with 13 games of three hits or more.
