Zane Bloom led all hitters with 3 hits including a double and a triple scoring 2 runs. Jacob Grande had a 2-run double, Nathan Little and Bradley Smith also had hits for the Sharks. Brandon Rivenbark led the Bulldogs offense with 2 hits including a double. Little picked up his 1 st win of the season, going 5 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 run, while striking out 10 and walking just 1 batter. Bloom grabbed the 6-out save, allowing 1 hit over 2 innings striking out 4 Bulldogs hitters. Bulldogs pitcher Jacob Klutz took the loss although he allowed just 4 hits striking out 5 batters. Rivenbark also pitched for the Bulldogs, striking out 4 Sharks in just 2 innings of work. SOUTHPORT STORM CEDAR GROVE TAR HEELS 5 Ethan Kennedy paced Southport in the season opener with a 4 hit, 4 RBI night as well as picking up the win on the mound. Cory Sneed added 3 hits including 2 doubles. Bryan Maggard also added 2 hits in the victory. Cedar Grove was led at the plate by Spencer Hartgrove, who went 3 for 3 with a BB and RBI. Jeep Wilson and Justin Sheppard each collected a hit, BB and RBI for the Tar Heels. Amarion Reed pitched 2 innings for Cedar Grove. Reed didn t allow a hit, struck out 3 Storm hitters and issued 3 walks. SHALLOTTE MUDCATS SHALLOTTE SEAHAWKS 26 The battle of the Shallotte squads turned out to be an offensive display as both teams poured out a combined 33 runs on 14 hits. The Seahawks were led by Nathan Sellers, who picked up his 1 st win of the season going 5 innings, allowing only 5 hits, 3 BB and striking out 6 Mudcat hitters. Sellers helped his own cause by adding 2 hits at the plate including a 3-run homerun. Luke Hardee went 3 for 3, hitting a double, triple and inside-thepark homerun. Jordan Wilkes and Edward Fullwood each had 2 hits, with one of Wilkes being a double. Reid

3 Miller, Tyler Babson, Jayden Hodge, Matt Stevenson and Hunter Steagall each had a hit in the Seahawks winning effort. Brandon Colby and John King led the Mudcats with 3 hits apiece in the ballgame, with Colby coming across to score twice and King scoring once. Billy Togneri and Caleb Green added 2 hits apiece, with Togneri scoring twice and Green also coming across to score once. Luke King and Berry Jarvis added a hit each for the Mudcats with Jarvis being an RBI single. April 28, 2016 SHALLOTTE SEAHAWKS SOUTHPORT STORM 7 In what proved to be the game of the night, the Seahawks improved to 2-0 after getting a Southport baserunner hung up between 3 rd base and home for the out to end the game while bases were loaded. Both teams looked sharp on Thursday night, with Shallotte edging out the win behind a 6 IP win from Luke Hardee. Hardee struck out 9 batters in the win and Hunter Steagall picked up the save. Steagall also added 2 hits at the plate, one being a triple. Jordan Wilkes collected 2 hits including a 2B. Jayden Hodge and Reid Miller also had a hit apiece in the ball game, with Miller s being a double. NORTHWEST SHARKS SHALLOTTE MUDCATS 0 The Sharks picked up a road win with a 7-0 win over the Mudcats. Three Sharks hurlers combined for a nohitter. Bradley Smith picked up the win with three innings of work. Nathan Little pitched three innings before Jacob Grande finished it out pitching the seventh. Smith had three strikeouts in three innings, Little fanned six in two innings and Grande added one. The Sharks pounded 12 hits on the night, led by Jacob Granda and Bradley Smith with 3 hits apiece. Smith had a double and a triple driving in four runs. Michael Suerken and Christian Mongelli both added two hits. Randall scored three runs and Suerken swiped three bases. With the win, the Sharks improve to 2-0 on the young season. CEDAR GROVE TAR HEELS NORTHWEST BULLDOGS 2 Cedar Grove had a strong offensive showing in the win, led by Amarion Reed s 2 hit performance including a 2B and HR. Justin Sheppard went 2 for 3 with two 2B s and a RBI. Adam Fulford was 2 for 2 with a 3B. Shane Farris also got in on the offensive attack with HR and 2 RBI s. Matthew Clemmons also had 2 RBI s for the Tar Heels Reed also got the win on the mound to go along with his offensive performance as he pitched 3 innings of no hit baseball, allowing 2 unearned runs while striking out 4 Bulldog hitters. Farris pitched 2 innings of no hit ball as well, striking out 5 hitters. May 2, 2016 SHALLOTTE SEAHAWKS NORTHWEST BULLDOGS - 1 The Shallotte Seahawks were paced at the plate behind Luke Hardee who collected 3 hits, including 2 triples. Trevor Anderson and Glenn Evans each had 2 hits in the game with each adding a double to their credit. Jordan Wilkes, Reid Miller, Elijah Reeves and Hunter Steagall all had a hit in the ballgame for the Seahawks, with Wilkes hit being a HR. Nathan Sellers got the win on the bump for the Shallotte squad throwing 5 innings and striking out 8 Bulldog hitters. CEDAR GROVE TARHEELS NORTHWEST SHARKS 12 The Leland Sharks broke open a tight game with the Tar Heels scoring 7 runs in the 5th inning to take a 12-1 win. The Sharks got another great pitching performance, this time from Zane Bloom as he held the Tar Heels to 4 hits, 1 BB, with 5 strikeouts allowing 1 unearned run. Bloom also helped himself at the plate with a pair of hits. Jacob Granda and Michael Suerken also had two hits. Granda had a 2 run triple and Suerken added a 2 run inside the park home run. Granda had 4 RBIs while Suerken scored 3 runs and swiped 3 bases. Nathan Little and Nolan Watson also had hits for the Sharks. Spencer Hartgrove was 1 for 2 for the Tarheels with a double and RBI. Matthew Clemmons was 1 for 1 with a double and BB. Shane Farris swiped 2 bases on 2 attempts. Jeep Wilson was very strong in defeat for Cedar Grove, striking out 11 Sharks in just 4 innings of work. SOUTHPORT STORM SHALLOTTE MUDCATS 5 Cory Sneed paced the Storm pitching 5 innings with 6 Ks allowing only 4 hits. He helped his own cause offensively by going 4 for 5 at the plate, 2 doubles and HR. Ethian Kennedy also added a single, triple, 4 runs scored and a key 2-run bomb to dead center. Ryan Kelly added 3 hits as well as finishing the game on the bump for the Southport squad. Brandon Colby was 2 for 4 with single and double with 1 run for the Mudcats. Billy Togneri went 3 for 4 with 2 singles, RBI and 1 run. Brody hughes went 1 for 2, Isaiah Yuricek 1 for 2 with a run, John Coleman king 2 for 3 with a single, Berry Jarvis 1 for 1, Noah harts 1 for 2 with a single, Devan Martin 1 for 2 with a single, run, Lance McBryde went 1 for 1 and Joey Ochs added a RBI. May 5, 2016 NORTHWEST SHARKS SHALLOTTE SEAHAWKS 4 The Seahawks doubled up the Sharks 4-2 Thursday night in the battle of the unbeaten. It was a pitching duel between the Seahawks Luke Hardee and Nathan Little of the Sharks. Each pitcher scattered 6 hits, with Hardee fanning 15 Shark batters while Little struck out 10 Seahawks. Zane Bloom continued his hot start with three hits and Jacob Granda added two including a run scoring double. Hardee also helped his cause by plating a triple. The Seahawks were led by Hunter Steagall s 2 hits. Reid Miller added a triple, Nathan Sellers added a double and Trevor Anderson collected the other Shallotte hit with a single of his own.

4 May 9, 2016 CEDAR GROVE TAR HEELS SHALLOTTE SEAHAWKS 10 The Seahawks were paced behind the pitching performance of Nathan Sellers, who tossed a 5-inning shutout while striking out 8 batters. Sellers also doubled in the game. Luke Hardee led the way at the plate going 3 for 4 with a single, double and triple. Jordan Wilkes had 2 hits for Shallotte, including a double. Tyler Babson, Austin Norris and Austin Simmons each had a hit in the ballgame as well, with Simmons being a double. The young Tar Heel squad was only able to piece together 1 hit on the night, with Adam Fulford coming through with a single. Amarion Reed was able to find his way on the base paths, stealing 2 bases in only 2 attempts. SHALLOTTE MUDCATS NORTHWEST BULLDOGS 10 The Mudcats offense saw Billy Togneri go 2 for 4 with a single, double and 2 runs. Caleb green 2 for 4 with a single, triple, 2 runs and an rbi. John king 2 for 4 with 2 doubles a run and 2 RBI s. Noah harts 1 for 2 with a single and an RBI. Devon Martin 2 for 2 with a single and 2 runs. Luke king 2 for 3 with single, double and a run. Lance McBryde 1 for 1 with a single. Nick Cassinelli 1 for 2 with a run. Joey Ochs 2 for 2. Justin Oullette 2 for 2. SOUTHPORT STORM NORTHWEST SHARKS 8 Sharks dropped a 9-8 contest to the Storm Monday night. Jacob Granda continued his blazing hot start with 3 more hits including a double and triple and drove in 5 runs. He also swiped two bases. Zane Bloom also added 3 hits for the Sharks who gave up more runs in the game than their previous 4 games combined. May 12, 2016 NORTHWEST BULLDOGS SOUTHPORT STORM 11 May 14, 2016 SHALLOTTE SEAHAWKS SOUTHPORT STORM 0 Luke Hardee led the way for Shallotte with a single, double and triple as well as picking up the win on the mound with a 10 K performance. Austin Simmons and Austin Norris each doubled in the game, with Tyler Babson picking up a hit as well. NORTHWEST SHARKS SHALLOTTE MUDCATS 1 The Sharks defeated the Mudcats 11-1 Saturday. Nathan Little and Zane Bloom held the Mudcats to just 2 hits. The Sharks 9 hit attack was led by Bloom, Jacob Granda, and Bradley Smith with 2 hits each. They each drove in a pair of runs and Bloom and Smith doubled. Bloom picked up the win on the mound allowing 2 hits with two strikeouts. NORTHWEST BULLDOGS CEDAR GROVE TAR HEELS 1 Cedar Grove was led at the plate by Amarion Reed s 1 for 2 with a double. Stuart Stevenson and Easton Swain both also added a base hit in the game. May 16, 2016 NORTHWEST BULLDOGS SHALLOTTE SEAHAWKS 15 Shallotte Seahawks improved to a league best 7 wins after Monday night s game. Nathan Sellers was the winning pitcher. The Seahawks got hits from 10 different players. Jordan Wilkes had 3 hits including 2 doubles and a single. Nathan Sellers helped himself with 2 doubles while Luke Hardee, Austin Simmons and Reid Miller also added doubles apiece. Hunter Steagall, Edward Fullwood, Brady Whiteside, Jayden Hodge and Matthew Stephens also had hits in the game. Norris pitched the final inning for the Seahawks. NORTHWEST SHARKS CEDAR GROVE TAR HEELS 3 In the game against the Tar Heels, Bradley Smith led the way with his bat and on the mound. Smith collected 3 hits, drove in 3 runs and struck out 11 batters allowing just 3 hits over 6 innings on the mound. Mike Suerken also had 3 hits, and Jacob Granda and Nathan Little had 2 each. Cedar Grove s Spencer Hartgrove was strong in his 1 st start of the season, coming out in a very close game. Tarheels were held in check most of the night. Amarion Reed lead the Tarheels with a 2 for 3 night with a BB as well as swiping 3 bases. Hartgrove helped himself out in the game with an RBI single. John Destafano and Stuart Stevenson also had hits in the ballgame for Cedar Grove. SHALLOTTE MUDCATS SOUTHPORT STORM 10 Shallotte Mudcats fell just short on Monday night on the road against Southport. Brandon Colby went 3 for 4 with 2 singles, 1 rbi and 1 run, Caleb green 3 for 4 with 2 singles and 2 runs, Brody hughes 3 for 4, John king 2 for 4 with 1 single 1 double 3 rbi and 1 run, Devon Martin 2 for 4 with 1 single and 1 run, Noah harts 2 for 3 with 1 single and 2 rbi, Hayden Mckeithan 1 for 1 with 1 single and 1 run, Berry Jarvis 1 for 2, Isaiah yuricek 1 for 1 and Joey Ochs 1 for 1 with 1 single. May 19, 2016 SOUTHPORT STORM NORTHWEST BULLDOGS 5 SHALLOTTE SEAHAWKS NORTHWEST SHARKS 1 In the loss to the Seahawks Christian Mongelli had 2 of the five hits for the Sharks including a double. Evan Mott, Bradley Smith, and Jacob Granda each collected 1 hit. Granda extended his hit streak to 8 games

5 May 20, 2016 CEDAR GROVE TAR HEELS SHALLOTTE MUDCATS 6 Friday night s game in Shallotte became a marathon as both teams locked in battle for a 9-inning affair. Cedar Grove got on the board in the 1 st with 2 runs thanks to Justin Sheppard, Jeep Wilson and Spencer Hartgrove. Jeep Wilson got the win on the mound for Cedar Grove in relief after throwing 5 scoreless innings allowing only 2 hits. Wilson and Hartgrove had 2 hits apiece. Adam Fulford had a 2-run single in the 9 th. Sheppard lead the Tar Heels with 4 runs scored. Tristen Hart had a sharp single in the game for his 1 st hit on the young season. Cedar Grove would have 6 cross the plate in the top of the 9 th to pull ahead for the win. John King was on point for the Mudcats, having the lead in the 4 th while exiting. Devon Martin came on in the fifth inning throwing five innings in relief with six strikeouts. John king helped his own cause by going 3 for 5 3 rbi s. May 23, 2016 SHALLOTTE SEAHAWKS CEDAR GROVE TAR HEELS 6 The Tarheels defense allowed the Seahawks to take control early. Cedar Grove did put some runs on the board in the 3 rd and 5 th innings. Spencer Hartgrove had a 2 RBI single and Matthew Clemmons contributed with 2 RBI s. Shane Farris and Justin Sheppard had 2 hits apiece to lead the Heels. Nathan Sellers got the win on the mound for the Seahawks with a strong outing. Hunter Steagall finished the job on the mound for Shallotte. Luke Hardee had a huge day with 4 hits including a HR. Jordan Wilkes added 3 hits including an inside-the-park HR. Hunter Steagall collected 2 hits with a double, Austin Simmons had 2 hits as well with one being a triple. Austin Norris also had a hit in the game. NORTHWEST BULLDOGS SHALLOTTE MUD CATS 10 Caleb green started on the mound for Shallotte, throwing 2 innings with 1 strikeout giving up 5 hits and 7 runs. Brody Hughes took the bump in the 3 rd inning down 7 runs pitching 4 innings in relief with 5 strikeouts giving up 4 hits and only allowing 1 run for the win. Billy Togneri was 2 for 3 with a double, 1 rbi and a run. Brandon Colby was 1 for 3 with 1 double, 2 rbi and a run. Green was 2 for 3 with a double 2 rbi and 2 runs. Luke King was 1 for 2 with a single and a run, Brody Hughes was 2 for 2 with a hbp and a run, Nick Cassinelli was 1 for 3 with a double, rbi and a run, Joey Ochs was on fire going 2 for 3 with a double 2 rbi and 2 runs. Berry Jarvis also got in the hit column for the Mudcats, going 1 for 3 with a run. NORTHWEST SHARKS SOUTHPORT STORM 0 Bradley Smith led the Sharks to a 10-0 win over the Storm both with the bat and on the mound. He pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts allowing just four hits while walking just one. He also had two hits setting the tune early with a three run towering home run in the first inning. Zane Bloom, Nolan Watson, and Michael Sureken each had two hits. Jacob Granda had a hit extending his hitting streak to nine games. June 3, 2016 CEDAR GROVE TAR HEELS NORTHWEST BULLDOGS 6 JDB In the night cap of the DH, the JV Tarheel team took the field and continued the momentum of the 1st game. The JV Heels recorded 11 hits and received 6 BB's which lead to 12 runs. Recording 2 hits apiece were Stuart Stevenson, Tristen Hart, Amarion Reed and Matt Clemmons. The Sharks were held to just three Tar Heels lefty Amarion Reed who went 3 2/3 IP allowing only 2 hits, 6 K s and 3 earned runs. Zane Bloom, Michael Suerken, and Mathieu Hewitt each had hits for the Sharks. Nathan Little had a groundout in the fifth that scored Hewitt for what proved to be the winning run. The teams traded runs for most of the game, leading to five lead changes in the game. Bradley Smith and Bloom combined to pitch a one hitter with Bloom picking up the win. Smith struck out seven batters in four innings. John Destafano had the lone hit for the Heels and Matt Clemmons had 2 RBI s. 7 June 13, 2016 NORTHWEST BULLDOGS SOUTHPORT STORM 8 Southport Storm seize victory thanks to late ground out, drop the Northwest Bulldogs 8-7. Southport Storm outlasted the Northwest Bulldogs on Monday after five lead changes, squeaking out an 8-7 win at Smithville. Southport Storm pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. A groundout by Brian Maggard scored Matthew and gave Dixie Boys Southport Storm the lead for good. Cory Snead and Clark Anderson led Dixie Boys Southport Storm's offensive threat. Anderson reached base 4 times and Snead got on base three times in the game. Ryan Kelly worked out of six tricky spots for Southport Storm. He pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs on no hits. Kelly faced his most difficult moment in the fifth inning. SOUTHPORT STORM NORTHWEST BULLDOGS 3 JDB Storm bats were hot for the second game. Clark Anderson and Ryan Kelly couldn't be kept off the bases as they reached at each plate appearance; 4 for Anderson and 3 for Kelly with each scoring 3 times. Aiding in adding runs to the board were Brown, Bruner, Lynch, and Snead all contributing 3 each as well. Matthew racked up a couple RBI's and hit an in the park bomb to bring himself all the way around! Roman Dilgard wasn't able to come across the plate, but contributed 3 RBI's. Jack Kimball took the mound in the 2nd inning to close the game by only facing 4 batters and no runs allowed. NORTHWEST SHARKS SHALLOTTE SEAHAWKS 5 The Leland Sharks lost a heart breaker to the Seahawks 5-4 Tuesday night. The Seahawks scored the winning run with one out in the last of the 7th inning. The loss came despite the Sharks out hitting the home standing Seahawks Zane Bloom, Michael Suerken, Jacob Granda, and Bradley Smith each had two hits for the Sharks, with Bloom hitting a double. Smith allowed one hit over four plus innings striking out 9. Bloom pitched the final 2 innings striking out 2 allowing one run which was unearned. The top place Shallotte Seahawks were led by another great performance by Luke Hardee who struck out 14 Sharks. Nathan Sellers was the winning pitcher as he came in to pitch the top of the 7th and also had 2 hits at the plate including a 2B. Hunter Steagall had 2 hits and Austin Norris and Brady Whiteside picked up hits in the game as well. SHALLOTTE SEAHAWKS NORTHWEST SHARKS 11 JDB In the nightcap the Sharks carried an 8-2 lead into the 4 th inning but was unable to hold the lead and lost despite three strong innings on the mound from Mathieu Hewitt. Hewitt allowed just two hits and two runs while striking out six in three innings on the mound. Hewitt also had two hits for the Sharks, who were led by Zane Bloom, Nolan Watson, and Michael Suerken with three hits each. Watson had two doubles and drove in four runs. Northwest Sharks couldn't get anything going so long as Ryan Kelly was on the hill. Kelly held Northwest Sharks hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out six.
