LIND JOINS TARPONS: Last week, INF Adam Lind joined the Tarpons from Extended Spring Training. The former big leaguer signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees on 4/18. Lind, 34, elected free agency after playing with the Washington Nationals in The slugger owns 200 MLB homers while playing nine seasons with Toronto ( ) and one each with Milwaukee (2015, Seattle (2016 and Washington (2017). So far, Lind is btting.588/.632/.824 (10-for-17) with 5R, 1 double, 1HR, 6RBI and 2BB. VS. FORT MYERS: This will be the fourth of 12 scheduled meetings between the Tampa Tarpons and Fort Myers Miracle. Tampa currently leads the season-series, 2-1.
